Review 1 for Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Talc Free Illuminating Powder Duo, Creamy Light/Creamy Natural SPF 16 7027
best powder foundation out there
By sumgrl ,
out of all the powder foundations i have tried i love this product it makes your skin look luminous and i also have acne scars, ance and freckles and this is great for my skin covers great and if you have to have pictures taken makes you look flawless which is amazing. It is really messy but it looks good. i always put of face lotion and/ or primer before i apply this and it stays on for a long time great stuff, once you get used to putting it on the trick is "buffing" it in. look up instructions on how to apply powder foundation online like i did. also "buildable" coverage means you may need to put on several layers to get the coverage you desire but it is great stuff and good for your skin

Great coverage, but room for improvement
I have tried all sorts of brands of mineral powder foundations from L'oreal, Maybeline, Revlon ect. L'oreal was my favorite, but it was a little too matte for me. I finally decided to try this duo from Physicians Formula. I like that it has a lighter and darker shade because sometimes I tan and sometimes I don't, howver the two shades are so close that there isn't a whole lot of difference in coloring, even if you're only using the dark shade to contour. I do absolutely love the coverage. Sometimes I get break outs and coupled with a spot concealer, this product works wonder. It leaves you with a nice glow without looking shiny or oily. It blends very easily and has staying power. My only real complaint is the packaging and brush. The container it comes in is designed to allow you to use both colors at the same time, but you have to shake it to get them out to the surface, which creates a huge mess and loss of product. The plastic lids for each color are not sealed even when closed, so when you turn it upside down to shake out powder, it spills into the main lid or on the counter. I used to use a separate container for my mineral foundation and just put in what I needed, but with the duo, that's not really possible. Aside from actually getting the powder out to use it, the brush they supply isn't the best. It's not very plush, and while it appears to be soft, it is actually prett course and I felt it was a bit rough and scratchy on my skin and maybe even damaging to delicate skin. So I'm looking into using a different brush. Those are my two big complaints. The product itself is great and does what it says it will. I would buy again and recommend to anyone looking for full coverage that doesn't feel heavy or suffocating to your face.
