I bought this dehumidifier last August and as of Feburary it no longer works. It keeps shutting itself off a few minutes after I turn it on. I am very disappointed in this product. Only worked for six months.

I have a 10+ year old dehumidifier that still works well after all these years. I needed another one but couldn't find the make or model of my original one so I bought this one instead based on good reviews. Well, there are good and bad points of this unit. First, it is quieter than my old one and it has digital display which gives a modern look and feel. The unit gets things done and is easy to setup and use. The down side is the water holder is about one half the size of my old unit, which means I have to empty it more often, which to me, is a major step backward. If you are going to connect an external hose and let the water drain away that way, this is not a problem, but if you are like me, who don't have a drain nearby, this is annoying. I don;t understand why the designer choose this route, why couldn't they simply make the unit larger and therefore it can hold a water holder of larger size. I wonder if the product designer every use his/her own product in the real world.

I have used this dehumidifier for about a month. I had 65 pint Samsung before tha I returned after couple of weeks as it was very heavy to move around, started giving error codes, and required dedicated circuit (not expected). The Soleus is lighter, easier to store and move, and works as expected. I have to mention though that it is quite noisy, so 4 star review. Too early to say if it will serve long, I certainly hope so.

I've been very pleased with this product. I'm sometimes amazed at the amount of moisture it pulls out of the air in my basement in just a few hours. It runs quietly and doesn't interfere with TV watching while it is on in the same room.

Works quickly to remove humidity, can set it on timer so it only runs a few hours instead of continuously. Quieter than I expected it to be. Arrived with a broken caster but the manufacturer sent a replacement.

I turn it on once in the am, and it shuts off as it fills the tank. This often does it for the day. If I need more I do it again. It is off during the night. I have it in the bathroom, but it works all over the home because I have central heat and air. I was amazed that it handles 3000 sq ft. Very pleased.

When you punch in the setting, the digits start to jump around. per phone call this is o.k.
It will hold your setting.
I used a good hygrometer across room (15 feet). It held at 40% RH at plus or minus 1 %

I purchased this dehumidifier a couple weeks ago and am pleased with the product so far. To date, I have had no problems and it seems to be picking up a lot of water from a bathroom area that had recently had a shower leak. I like the fact that it has a carry handle and although the bucket does not have a pull-out knob, it does have a handle inside to make it easy to empty. You can run it on continuous mode or set it to a specific moisture level to suit your needs. It is compact and stury...and definitely gets the job done....As for long term durability- only time will tell...I would recommend this product.

I received my product through Site to Store, which had been shipped by Fedex. When I opened the box at home, I found that one of the wheels had broken off, and needed to be replaced. I called the company's support line, explained the situation, and was told I would need to email a copy of the receipt before they could send a replacement wheel. I scanned the receipt, composed an email explaining the situation, and sent it to the company. It has been two weeks, and I have never heard back from them. If they can't address the simple fixes, it makes me wonder how they handle more serious issues.

With this being the wettest year on record in central PA, I was having mold and water issues in the 1400 sq. ft. basement of my new house. I bought this humidifier about a month ago and it has made a huge difference. I had to buy a hose so it could run continuously but it dried up the puddles on the floor and has significantly reduced the mold. I bought it online and had it shipped to the nearest store. It was easy to pick up and set up. I would highly recommend this product.

It is a good machine, just to get the bucket out to empty is awkward, you usually end up spilling some. wish they had a outside handle to pull out and to push back in.

i bought dehumidifier to remove moisture and odor in basement. in 2 days the carpet was dry and the odor almost gone. the bucket could be a little bigger but it works great. since it is in basement sound doesnt matter.

Used this for about 2+ weeks so far. I researched and reviewed several brands for months because I needed a backup dehumidifier for my older 1984 (yes, nineteen eighty four) Admiral 40 pint dehumidifier (still functioning to this day-continous everyday). The ole admiral dehumidifier however does not have a defrost so I needed a year round dehumidifier this coming winter and the Admiral will get a deserved sleep until next spring. The area I needed to dry out my basement mechanical room that measures about 44 feet x 20 feet. Water seeps through the wall during some rain storms. So this Soleus unit is exceptional gathering up moisture from moist walls. Noise is not really a bother, air blows up out of the top. Just sounds like a larger hair dryer, but is quieter than my ole trusty Admiral dehumidifier. I do not use the filter option, turn it on high only.
Drawbacks: The water catch basin is hard to pour. You have to hold on to it firmly and pour from the opposite corner from where the drip hole is located. Tried and experimented several times to locate the best way to pour the water and this seems to be the best choice. This is really not a horrible fault. I would not recommend resorting to the hose drain option as you may be upset at the results (from what I have read). So I will keep mine configured with the catch basin opition only for it's lifetime.
Advantages: I selected high moisture setting, 5-6 hour until full. I make sure to empty water basin before going to bed then emptying again in the morning before going to work. The rollers make it easy to position as this unit is heavy, has a longer than normal extenstion cord. I would reccommend this unit to a friend. Durable and built solid, does not feel cheap or flimsy.
Walmart was the only retailer that had the 45 pint option. Any smaller water capacity and you will be emptying it alot. I also purchased the 3 yr warranty Walmart for $28 which is s really great insurance premium. I may buy another one of these! Get these while you can.

This unit is smaller than the one it is replacing, much quieter even on high fan speed and seems to be much more efficient. The tank seems a bit small but I never intended to use it so it doesn't matter. It easily connects to a garden hose for constant drainage to a floor drain and is well designed for use in this manner. I am very pleased with overall design, construction and operation. I have never heard of this brand but would buy another in an instant.

We bought this dehumidifier when our basement started seeping during a rainy season. I'm talking walls dripping, mold starting to grow on our stuff wet. It was awful. We had a big basement, with three rooms and this humidifier dried them all out. I can't tell you how impressed I am! Wish we would have purchased it before the rain because it handles wet weather beautifully. It is an investment. The unit is not cheap, but to protect your belongings and keep mold at bay this is your prodcuts!

I purchased a Soleus 40-Pint Dehumidifier w/ Humidistat CFM-40 and it was great. Gave it to my parents to use and was going to order me another one. But I decided to buy this Soleus Energy Star 45-Pint Dehumidifier, DP1-45-03 instead. Both do a fantasic job, but I like the 40 pint better. This 45 pint was louder and put out alot more heat. My 40 pint was extremely quite and hardly any heat. My parents didn't need my 40 pint after all, so now I am using it instead of the 45. They both do a great job, I just like the other one better.

needed a replacement for my old unit quickly and went with this unit as the reviews i read were good. I have it up and working and am very pleased with it. The only problem I had was connecting the hose for continuous drainage. That was a little tricky but overall I am pleased.
