The Duracell 600HD Powerpack is a stand-alone source of portable power for AC and DC-powered electronics, such as lamps, cordless phones, laptops and more. This portable power pack's rugged design and AC power mean you can operate and charge a wide variety of electronics in various locations. The portable Duracell 600HD power pack comes with jumper cables and a built-in emergency light. In addition, the Duracell 600HD Powerpack features an AM/FM radio and a digital alarm clock.
i personally love this battery i take it on camp outings all the time even have used it for power outages it last a long time the last time that i checked i had hooked two tower fans to it and it ran all night before the low battery alarm activated it also charges fairly fast compared to other jumper batteries only 12 to 24 hours on an empty battery only a few minutes depending how much charge is left but i would definitely recommend this to anyone who doesn't have one the only thing that would be better if it had an air compressor with this one

Review 2 for Duracell Powerpack 600HD
The best powerpack on the market

I purchased Duracell 600HD powerpack for use during my 8-days stay in Baxter State Park campgrounds without any electricity around. I really like that it doesn’t have any built-in air compressor like many others; I would prefer the good stand-alone compressor for my tires. It has jump-start cables, and thanks god they are detachable; I hate powerpacks with the attached bulky cables and clips. Most powerpacks have the only charging option from 120v AC; 600HD can be charged from 120v AC or from 12v DC. You can use your vehicle to charge it; or you can charge it from the solar battery, I used Brunton Solaris 26 attached to the windshield like the sunscreen. I used 600HD to power many different things (both 12v DC and 120v AC); it performs really well. I never was out of power during all my vacation. I also jump-started my vehicle several times; it was good for that also. I made an extensive research on internet before my purchase; and I didn’t find anything better than 600HD. You can find ‘Xantrex XPower Powerpack 600HD’, but that is exactly the same product. Actually Duracell is the re-branded Xantrex. Also I would prefer to purchase from WalMart because of their good return policy.

I ran a 12v fan for 6 hours and the pack went dead. Thought it would last longer (like a weekend trip) since I was only using a 12 v fan in a tent. Not sure how it is for jumping dead batteries. Takes FOREVER to charge this unit either 110 or via your cig lighter. More trouble than it's worth.

I've tested a heater, fan, TV, and a 12v electric blanket. Tried a hot plate but it shut down. Still looking for something that would heat food that would work. Any ideas?

Get a small propane burner
Posted 03/09/2012
We're using this for everything but heating food -- for that, we got a Coleman Perfectflow 1-burner stove (about $30) and a small bottle of propane (about $3). Better than a hotplate, cheap and easy to run.

If I cant find a cord? I just bring the PowerPack. Plug in a drill? Plug in lights? Charge a pattery? It has a radio. And the battery IN IT has great power. TOTALLY WORTH IT! Campers pay attention! This is a good buy. And it was 100.00$ less than I found it else where.
