Only problem w/this product is the shipping box. it's REALLY heavy and in a rectangular box so you can't get your hands around it and it's not quite long enough to have 2 people carry it.

I've used spin collar dumbbells for years.. Switching to these has decreased my wrk out time by at least 15 mins.. Extremely convenient not having to switch plates out manually and not having to spin those collars on and off is the difference between frustration and added motivation!!

Bad mechanics

Good thing my 90 store warrenty was still valid.
Bought them thinking they would be amazing, they are perfect for a great home gym. But the mechanics to adjusting them stopped working on us. It would let u adjust it it would just be really hard to turn them & wouldn't let you lift your intended weight.
Great idea, just didnt work properly. I did return them and got my money back. Now on the search again for dumb bells

Been wanting a set of dumbbells to do workouts at home because I work to late to go to a gym. The money for a full set of dumbbells from 5-50pds was close to $450 dollars. These Bowflex 552 take up a small amount of space, easy for quick weight selection, and honestly look pretty cool! Ordering off line was a breeze and was convenient cost considering that they have free shipping to your local walmart for pickup! At other sporting good stores, the same exact dumbbells range from $360-$399 so you save almost a $100 by buying them off walmart.com. If you're serious about getting some dumbbells for P90X or quick tempo workouts, then I highly recommend these SelectTechs!!!

I am very pleased with these dumbbells so far. They adjust fine. I agree with other users that they are still bulky with low weights, but they feel like expensive equipment. I've had them a few months and can't complain. $299 is a steal for these. God Bless

Price is high but when compared to even smaller dumbell sets (I looked at just getting a pair of 30's, 40's and 50's) it is cheaper to go this route and it gives you more flexibility.

You will not find a better price. They cost $399 on the Bowflex website. Love these dumbbells. My husband and I both use them. They are so each to use and very easy on the hands. I am just starting to exercise again and they are truly amazing. I would highly recommend this to everyone.
It was such a heavy box. I am so glad that we had them delivered to our home. It would have been a pain picking them up and loading them in the car. It cost $3.00 to ship. That's a no-brainer!

These are great they save a ton of space and money verses buy standard dumbells. Easy to use. There are only a couple minor problems i have with them and that is, if your using them in a faster pased cardio type work out where you change weight and exersise there hard the change quickly to move on to next exercise. And secondly there kinda bulky and awkward you expect them to be with max weight but when dealing with 20 or 30 lbs i wish they didnt. Over all they are the best way to go.

First of all, the weights arrived right on time. I had them delivered to my home for a few more bucks for the sake of convenience. It was worth it. I could have picked them up from the store, but I read from several reviews that the box was heavy and I didn't want to be embarrassed by struggling to lift the box into my vehicle. It wasn't as heavy as I thought they would be though.
I bought the weights to use for P90X. The selecting switch is smooth, fast and easy to change weights between sets. The only annoying thing I found is that you have to turn one knob clockwise and the other counter clockwise. The plastic look doesn't bother me at all. It has a nice clean look to them. I never feel like the weights will come off.
I didn't buy a stand, but the box they came in is very sturdy, but unsightly. If the box bothers you, you could just cover it with an old sheet, but it does fantastically and I saved $150+ buying a stand.
So far, I have no complaints and am happy with the purchase.

Bought these after seeing them at other stores for nearly twice as much. Smooth transition between weight, husband loves them and I love that there is one set of dumbells in nicely made stands sitting in my living room vs. The 10 sets that were there before. Easy for him to do "body beast" workouts without a disaster in my house. Only had a week, but so far they're all I expected and more
