For anyone who has played a Harvest Moon game before, Harvest Moon DS: Grand Bazaar is sure to be a treat. After getting used to the feel of the game, it's pretty fun. The bazaar also adds a new twist to the usual manage-your-farm routine, and there are more festivals and competitions to keep one entertained. One of the biggest surprises that I've found for this game is the room for expansion and improvement in general. There are all sorts of upgrades that can be purchased (once you get enough money). This makes for a really long game.
Personally, I've taken a break from playing it recently (before beating it), but whenever I come back to it, it's still fun to play.
