I purchased this item as a christmas gift and my son just started to use it. He put his iphone in the dock and had on pandora radio , the radio kept shutting off. We took the iphone out of the dock thinking that maybe pandora radio was the problem but pandora radio played while it was out of the dock w/out shutting off once we put it back in the dock it shut off. as far as it being an alarm clock I don't know how that works . there is no way to set an alarm on that dock. I am so disappointed w walmart w the on line shopping expierence . I can't return the dock because unfortunatley the box was thrown out.

to MAXKIT: you need to go to the itunes store and download the free app called iLuv3.0 to enable to alarm clock. Check out the iLUV website for more information.
