this is the generic version of lacome definicils. definitely worth the $5 to try it out. my only complaint is that i feel like i go through it quickly, but that is probably just because i like it so much and apply 2-3 coats each morning. doesn't melt off or look cheap and i don't even need to use an eyelash curler anymore! :)

I have loved every Rimmel product I've tried (especially their nail polish!), until this one. I wanted to like it. I gave it a good three week trial, and I still hate it. It is a good color, the price is great, it has no fragrance, which is a big deal for me, and the packaging is okay, if a little cheap looking, but that's where the positives end. First, there is no way whatsoever to control the amount of mascara that comes out on the brush. The brush is thinner than the top of the tube by a lot, and whatever is inside does not catch the excess. I pull out the wand with gobs of extra mascara every time, which leaves me to wipe it on the bottle, or blot with tissue and risk getting lint of my wand. Even after curling my lashes, they are pin straight after applying this mascara. No curl whatsoever, and my lashes are naturally curly! Plus, it flakes terribly and leaves my lashes feeling very crunchy, dry, and brittle. And the worst part is, my eyelashes are falling out! I've tried dozens of mascaras and never have I lost 5-10 lashes at a time just from gently rubbing my eye :( I am tossing this one and picking up some Maybelline Colossal Cat Eye tomorrow instead. I'll still use Rimmel products but I will not be using their mascaras ever again!
