Manage unruly pet hair with the Hoover UH70210 Windtunnel Vacuum. Weighing only 17.8 pounds, this lightweight vacuum cleaner is easy to handle. The pet rewind vacuum cleaner features the patented WindTunnel technology, five position carpet height adjustment and easy to clean air powered pet hand tool. The easy to clean pet attachments include rubber blades and rolling brushes. This vacuum cleaner does not need manual cord winding; you just have to gently tap the pedal to activate the 27 ft cord rewind. The handle is foldable that makes storage a breeze. I was so surprised when I got my vacuum, put it together and started using it. It's like a rocket ship. I have six birds that leave lots of feathers and food all over the place. The Hoover WindTunnel Upright totally blew me away. It's lightweight and small to find in smaller places. I would highly recommend this vacuum to all my friends!

I love customer product reviews. Unlike the media spin customers give real-world feedback - the good, the bad and the ugly. This Hoover WindTunnel Pet Vacuum is most definitely "the good". I did considerably research of customer product reviews on vacuum cleaners. I had a limited budget so that played a role. Some of the negative comments I read were;
1) Difficulty emptying the dirt container - So you MAY have to gently pull the lodged hair ball out. Well, I am house cleaning, not dressed for dinner. You get dirtier dusting the entertainment center. Someone also complained that emptying the dirt container got stuff all over the floor. Try doing it over/inside a garbage can. Non-issue.
2) Great suction failed after a few weeks. Actually, the suction (we have a dog who LOVES to shed) is fantastic! First time I used it I was amazed how much dirt my old vacuum left on the floor. I did have a suction issue after one week which I needed to call customer support for. Turns out I got a piece of paper (the thing sucked up everything except the carpet pile) jammed down inside the vacuum tube body. Once support walked me through the clean-out it worked perfectly - and now I know where to look if it happens again (which it has not).
3) Hose too short. I think I will go along with that. Sure, it could be longer. Is it adequate, certainly.
The vacuum is quieter than my old one. It is not too heavy and does a great job. The retracting cord is a wonderful feature. As the cord is near the base of the unit I had some issues running over it, but solved this by looping it over the handle as I went, that way if I dropped it it did not fall to the floor. The powered attachment (it uses the suction to drive a small beater/bar brush) does a great job on the stairs. Overall I am VERY satisfied with this product. I would not doubt that if money were no object you could spend ten times as much and get ten times the machine (maybe), but if I had that kind of money I would be paying someone else to clean my house.

The main vacuum component has done a wonderful job of picking up the dirt and hair but the rest of the vacuum's features are not so great.... The "extending tube" is a huge hassle to use (it barely stretches more than a foot and a half) and the attachments are constantly falling off of the vacuum because of the poorly designed "graspers" that are supposed to hold the parts.
I was hoping that this wasn't another example of "you get what you pay for" since it wasn't necessarily cheap but I'm guessing that the vacuums listed in the $300 and up range don't have the same issues.
It really shouldn't be sold for more than $100.

Never wrote a review but this product is such a horrible disappointment.
I bought this exact make and model about a year ago. it was great everything it advertised, strong and sturdy, tools where great, hose was nice and workable,, no complaints no problems until our little miss sunshine decided the fish tank needed to be cleaned and used the vacuum.(don't you just love little kids :)) so without any hesitation we just went out a bought the same one cause we liked it very much... and to our surprise hoover completely changed it,, the cleaning path was smaller the container was smaller the hose was cheaper and very hard to use, the thing gets really hot, if feels like a hot dryer being blown on you when you use it, everything about it felt cheap and badly made,not to mention the suction power is extremely weak expect double the work triple the work if you have pets as we do , so we went out and looked at all the Hoovera and to their entire vacuum line emulates the same basic design cheap, smaller and very low quality materials,,, the Hoover is about to just be tossed in the garbage can,, and we are back on the hunt for a good quality vacuum..

I read many of the reviews and went ahead and purchased the Hoover. There are only a couple of minor issues:
1) The hose needs to be longer.
2) The cord gets hot to the touch inside the housing.
3) When the dirt container gets too full, it's kind of hard to get all of it out around the filter,( but that might be me because I have not read all the directions.)

Otherwise it backs up its claims pretty well. The fold down handle is great fits in a closet full of coats easily.

Amazing Rubber Bristles-Perfect for Pet/Human Hair

I love this vacuum, the first time I used it it sucked up so much dirt that I had to dump it before I could finish cleaning my 600 sq. foot apartment! The suction is amazing on this vacuum- perfect for cleaning the cat litter my kitty likes to drag around the apartment plus the attachments especially the one that stores on the handle is amazing!! The attachment is perfect for cleaning the cat hair off my couch, bed and my stairs. The rubber bristles are perfect for picking up my own long blond hairs and my cats hairs. In the past I would have to cut the hair tangled in the bristles off old vacuums but this vacuum the hair does not get stuck. I recommend this vacuum for pet owners but also for people with long hair as mine tends to clog other vacuums and get stuck in the bristles- this vacuum I have no troubles with this.
The cord rewind is very handy also. The only thing that is a disadvantage is the hose is designed when you curl it it is stretch to "8 feet" it says but it doesnt stay un-curled so it is about 3 feet, works for what I need though and the overall advantages of this vacuum outweight the small hose. I will say though the hose has quite a bit of power which is suprising and handy as well.
Overall, buy this vacuum- it is definitely worth the price!!

Love it!! Picks up a ton of hair and dirt! I have two big hairy dogs and this is the vacuum for carpet!! Works awesome and very light weight! The negatives are the canister is very small so you have to empty a lot of times and the hose is very short and the cord is pretty short so I recommend an extension cord for it, but love it otherwise! You won't regret it!

So I bought this vacuum and so did my mom. Three months later we each have returned the product. My mom gave up and bought something else after two returns. My second one just died. It was always the same issue with the roller not working. I do not have pets or kids so my house is not the worst for dirt. Do not buy this product

For the price it is the best vacuum I've ever owned. Rated Highly by Consumer Reports. Works great on rug's and bare floors. The only drawback is the hose is to short and should have be longer to work with the tools That's why I gave it a 4 star rating

I researched for months before purchasing this model. I am so pleased with the performance and ease of use. I finally feel as if my carpet is clean again. For a seemingly heavy vacuum, it feels as if it is self propelled, the cord rewind is such a pleasure, the noise is much less than my Bissell was, it's easy to clean ( I do this outside as it is a bit messy), it picks up pet hair amazingly. I don't use it for my hard floor surface so have no comment for that. Overall, I would recommend this product to all my friends. The only drawback is cleaning it out is a bit messy.....but bagless usually are.

I used this vacuum once and was very disappointed. I didn't think the suction was very strong, and the construction is all plastic, even on the bottom where the rotor brush is. I bumped the vacuum cleaner and the bottom piece popped off on one side. The only part I was impressed with was the hand tool for vacuuming upholstery. That part worked well. I took this vacuum cleaner back and spent an extra $20 and bought a Bissell Heavy Duty vacuum cleaner. Only used it twice so far, but I am already happier with it than this Hoover.

Great suction, it does pick up the pet hair! Not too heavy for an older person to use. Easy to empty the dirt. You will be surprised at how much it get's out of your carpets! Only two complaints, the cord needs to be longer by several feet and the extension hose keeps popping out of its storage hole. All in all, I would recommend to others.

The main vacuum and hose with crevice tool do suck up the abundant amount of fur my cats shed. Some of the other attachments are good for gathering but not actually picking up. It's not too heavy and it's relatively easy to empty. The cord rewind is a cool feature too. This is actually the second Hoover Pet Rewind I've purchased because the one I left at my other home did such a good job.

Absolutely love this vacuum! I have an Australian Shepherd/ Lab mix and she sheds like crazy and it's so nice to sit on the floor after I vacuum and feel that there is no hair left in the carpet. Easy to assemble, easy to take the hair out of the canister. Couldn't have picked a better vacuum! I highly recommend it.
