Some of the reviews I read about this toaster scared me, but decided to chance it.
I found none of the negatives to be true. Perhaps they had a defective toaster. I am
so glad for the lever to lift the bread, no more burning my fingers. I also love the stop
button and the bagel being toasted only on one side. Good value for such a small amount of money.

What can I say, it's a toaster! Definitely dresses up the kitchen with it's sleek look. Had a little trouble finding the exact setting for the browning of my toast, but finally did. You do not have to go from a setting of 3 to 4....it's infinite so you can set it on 3 1/4 or whatever. That's a nice touch.
Also the lift handles come in very handy when taking toast out. No more burnt fingers. I'd definitely recommend this toaster.

We wanted a good 4 slice toaster built w/quality & a good price - after checking reviews this was the toaster for us. Like all the functions, 2 crumb trays, sleek design with forward opening so you don't reach over the toaster to retrieve toast, bagel option. Higher than toaster selection #2 will get bread on the burnt side. Only con is that a small corner on one side of the bread doesn't toast like the rest.

Its best feature is the way it slopes, can be used under a shelf without having to pull the entire toaster out everytime u use it. Didn't like the fact that it appears to be large enough to hold four bagels but u can only use the first two slots for bagels, the other two are only for toast.

excellent choice I made, Toasts well and even has a toast warmer if you are unable to get to the toast. I really like the push up tabs. These tabs push bread up that might be small ande can not get to it with out sticking a fork in the toaster. This is after unplugging the toaster.

It was the worse toaster I ever purchased. One side of the bread did not brown.. On number 2 it burnt the toast.... if you put it on one it did not toast...I brought it back..

this toaster is pretty and has a lot of nice features BUT that don't make it worth what it cost. part of it works and part of it don't,for instance most of the time the bread comes out partly toasted and some of the filiments work and even if i heat it up first it takes forever to make a piece of half toasted toast. that is what i say about this toaster and i hope somebody got one that works bettet then mine.

I wanted a 4 slice toaster which would toast bagels and it is big enough for any bagel, I really don't use the bagel button because I like my bagel toasted on both sides. it is a nice looking toaster and it works well and I would recommend.

I have never hard of the mode T-Fal Avante before, and was not sure if I won't to try it, but after reading the reviews I bought it and the product has been working great. I will state to read all instructions before you start useing the product, you may think you know how to use a toaster however it is good to know how all dials work. you may have to play with the browning level to found the right browning for your toast, but overall the toaster has been working fine for me in the short time that I have had it (jan 2013).

Good toaster. The only problems so far is the 2 right slots do not heat as high as the 2 left slots.
