This is a great little coffee maker!. Its small and takes up very little counter space, yet makes a generous cup of coffee. I like being able to use my own coffee and the mug keeps the coffee hot much longer than a regular cup. Its brews fast and the clean up is quick. I had a Keurig and it just did not suit my needs. This is perfect. Best $22.00 I ever spent.

Definitely needs a paper filter, and the only difference between a #1 and #4 filter is the height so cut #4 down about 2 inches and it'll fit perfectly. Coffee is very hot and stays hot for quite a while. Don't put creamer in the cup if you fill water to the max fill line or the cup will overflow. Now I just have to play around with the amount of coffee grounds and water to use for that perfect cup of coffee.

Wanted something small for work that would not be in the way nor very obvious. This is the perfect coffee maker for me. The cord is short and I thought I would need an extention cord but did not. You can use ANY cup for this coffee maker even paper because the base that the cup sits on DOES NOT heat up. Also the metal cup that comes with it is insulated with plastic and after washing, if you shake the cup, you will hear trapped water between the metal and plastic. I just pulled the black plastic handle on the cup backwards to bring open a small separation between the plastic and metal to allow the trapped water to escape. I don't like the taste of coffee in plastic cups, so I am very glad that I can use any cup, even my regular coffee cup with this product.

This personal coffee maker is a must have if you enjoy several cups of freshly brewed coffee but do not have the time to run to the deli during working hours. Single cups brew in under 5 minutes and coffee comes out piping hot! Very easy to use and stores easily in a desk drawer.

I am not a big coffee drinker so wanted a one cup coffee maker. Wasn't expecting much when I bought this but it has exceeded my expectations. I like the way I can use the mug that came with it or if I don't want as much I can brew a smaller cup. The coffee brews fast and is hot. It is easy to clean. I have saved so much coffee my old coffee pot had a 4 cup minimum so always had to throw 3 cups away. The things I don't like is it's alittle noisy and where you pour the water in being on the left side makes it a bit awkward but I use a measuring cup with a spout and no more spilt water. Have only had it for a short time so can't comment on the durability. So for the price its a great little coffee maker.

I bought this miserable product. You can only use those expensive pods and then you get weak coffee unless you use 2 or 3 pods each time. I just gave up and ordered a Black & Decker unit that I have used before. I will be selling the HB at my next garage sale.

I like the convenience of this one cup coffee maker but there are several negatives:
Brewed coffe is not hot enough.
Very fine silt coffee grounds end up in the cup of coffee.
The water has to be poured in from the left side - inconvenient.
After washing the supplied cup, water gets in between the top black rubber handle rim piece and the outer metal cover - very difficult to remove water. B&D need to seal the rubber handle rim.
Coffee continues to drip after brewing - messy. You also need to wipe clean the inner coffee chamber as coffee will leak into it.
