I bought this off walmart.com and was very excited to get it and try it out! Much to my dismay, after having to put it together the first time it was used the front roller on it snapped in two! So rather than returning it to walmart I called the company who makes it. Let me just tell you right now, IT TAKES FOREVER to get in contact with them. After waiting for 30+ minutes on the phone on hold I finally chose the option to have them call me back. And 4 hours later they call me back. They were good about sending me a new roller. But by the time they finally called me back I was not at home so I didnt have my product information. Luckily I had already registered it so they were able to pull it up that way. So I finally got my roller in the mail and it doesnt work with my machine! I dont know if they changed something in the week I had it but I had to call again and go through the whole process again just to get sent the same thing that didnt work the time before. It has been almost a month since I got this machine and I still have not been able to enjoy using it! I am waiting now on getting the roller plus the bar that goes through it so that maybe this time it will work! It seems like its a great workout but holy cow, I would like to use it someday! All in all I would recommend this product but hope that you never have to deal with proforms customer service!

I've only had the Ab Glider for about a week. Each day you use it, you're less awkward and you gain more control over using the machine and concentrating on the muscles you're working. Beware of the placement of your feet as they tend to hit the back rail if you don't. This machine is as much a workout for your arms and shoulders as your abs. The lighter a person is, the less this will be an issue. I was told not to do too many reps to start with unless I wanted to pay the price in pain later. That wasn't the case with me as I already have pretty strong abs. I can feel my core has strengthened already and I'm looking forward to shrinking my waist to get back into my old pants again! Don't give up, keep trying and it gets easier. The machine is much noisier than lead to believe by the videos. Oh well, it seems to be a good deal when compared to the price tag of other ab machines.

This machine was easy to assemble, my husband and I managed it in about 15 mins or so. The day following my first use I was sore from my shoulders down to my toes! I used the 3 minute results DVD & the Amazing Abs DVD. You receive 4 DVD's with your purchase. I found the DVD's helpful and fun and I know now this Ab Glider is going to work more muscles than just my abs. I have used it twice and can't wait to use it later today. There are a couple of issues that I have already noticed however. There is a knob behind the seat which prevents the seat from sliding off the bar. After my very first use, the seat tore where it hits the knob. Not happy with that but it's nothing a little duct tape won't fix right? Also if you will be using this machine in a room with carpet it is a bit unstable. Probably best to use it on a solid surface. Otherwise I am happy with this purchase.

I was expecting alot more from this machine, it looks bigger on T.V and the handle-bars are definitely not as far apart as on the T.V. advertisement... which makes it harder to use.
I used it a couple of times when I first got it, and 2 weeks down the road my knee is still swollen and sore and cannot use it at this time.
I should have just kept my treadmill...

This is an excellent machine. I weigh over 300 pounds and it still performs well for me. I use it twice a day and it is wonderful. The only thing I have to say negative about it is sometime your feet will catch the back and, if you aren't wearing shoes (which I don't) you can catch your toe nails back there and it HURTS! You have been warned!

I don't even know where to begin about this product. I have used the AB Coaster before but I wanted to try something that would give me a well rounded midsection workout so I got this after reading the reviews and seeing the video. What a mistake!
At first I thought the price was okay but for what I got in the box, I think it was too much. The entire box was no more that 50 lbs. So I wondered how light the equipment must be, I have purchased unassembled exercise equipment before and I know how much garbage comes in the box. After I was done assembling, I took a second to look at it and had a good laugh. The height after putting it together was no more than 2.5 feet. It is so light I am able to pick it up with one hand if I grab one of the handlebars. Talking about handlebars, absolutely not as advertised. Too short and I am only 5'3.
Now let's talk about returning it. There is a piece of paper that came in the box that says I should not return this equipment to the store I bought it from but instead call ICON Fitness Equipment. I have been calling for a week now and after being on hold for more that 15 hours, I have yet to talk to a real person. Absolutely terrible!!! I finally contacted Walmart customer service and will see what they say.
And the one star is for the fast and cheap delivery of this product and not for the product in any way.
I am happy for all those people that this machine worked out for but I still find it hard to believe that anybody taller than 3 or 4 feet can use this effectively. Bottom line I DO NOT RECOMMEND this product to anyone, not even an enemy, let alone a friend!!!!

If you do not work out this may have some impact- but after several hundred reps over a period of a week with all the exercises provided on the dvd that comes with it- you will get much more from basic crunches. elisabeth hasselbeck is on the dvd and she has to pretend to feel it but and can constantly talk through all the exercises.

I'm glad this equipment works for some, but for me it doesn't. The main problem is ALL the weight of my 200 lbs frame is resting on my shins and they quickly become sore. Also It seems more of an arms workout rather than an abs targeting workout. I walk away feeling it more in my upper body than I do the abs. Finnaly, the construction of the product just seems kinda cheap and flimsy. I am 200 lbs but also 6'1" so maybe these things wouldn't seem noticable to a smaller frame but to me it's a done deal. I'm going to try something else!

With a little practice you will get the hang of the glide. At first you will want to use your arms to pull you up but focus on your abs being tight. Keep that area on your mind and you will see a difference. It is not hard to put together, just take your time and read, I'm a woman and I put it together all by myself even though it suggest two people do the work. Every piece should be used...no left overs.
I'm on week two of my ab glider workout and I am starting to notice lines where the baby buldge (muffin top) is. Follow the dvd and you will work up a good sweat and cardio. So far so good for me. I'm fairly short @ 5'2, there is a slight further reach I have to make than most taller people but it's ok, I just factor it in on workout as stretches. I'd suggest in the future that the makers factor in adjustable handle bars or something to accomidate shorter people. The machine as it is, is definetly not a one size fits all.

The machine is kind of clumsy. As it rattles when being used. Kind of off balance too. Don't know if it will bring results, but do know that the forward exercise requires the strength of you arms and as a beginning whoa! It works you.

I bought this three days ago and I can already tell that my abs and core are tighter. The Directions say that it takes two people to put it together but as a 21 year old female I had no problem putting it together by myself, I would however suggest that when it says to lightly grease that bar to grease it REALLY well, mine seems to squeak whenever I use it in the side to side motion.
The workout itself is lots of fun and you can feel it working without it totally killing you. The day after I did my first workout I was a little sore so that I knew it was working but it wasn't so sore that I did not want to workout the next day. My one complaint (other than the squeaking), is that my knees tend to get really sore halfway through the workout and I have to give them a rest.

Ok I've had this product for 2weeks and I'm using it every other day. It comes with a 20 minute video and that's not a long workout but I was sweating after about 3 minutes! Now I have a 3 year old and an 11 month both girls (I also have 2 older boys) and I am 36 years old 5'7" and currently weigh 173. I feel like I haven't been able to exercise in 4 years! I was in great shape before my girls! Ok I'm rambling sorry, this machine works your arms and your abs. You have to focus on your abs so that you don't use your hips or your legs! You definitely should stretch first and keep your abs tight the whole time! Overall I am happy with the results so far. I can feel that I am stronger in my upper body and have more energy! Hope this was helpful!

I recieved my Ab Glider Yesterday. I was able to assemble it by myself in 30 minutes. Had no problems assembling it at all.
I used it last night for the first time. After a few minutes of using it I could feel the burn in my abs, obliques and arms. As well as my thighs.
I got up this morning and I can still feel that my muscles are soar. Which I'm pretty amazed by since I do have other work out equipment that I use regularly.
I believe this product will do exactly what it claims and more.
I will be posting a follow up in a few weeks to show progress.

I use the ab glider every day, as does my fiance. It was fairly easy to assemble; I did it myself in about 45 minutes (without rushing). The organization for the product assembly was great. All tools were provided, the manual provided good diagrams, and the washers/screws/nuts were all packaged individually and clearly labeled.
The product itself is squeaky. The packaging came with dvds that I watched for tips but I still don't feel that "burn" in my abs that I was expecting - hence the 3/5 for meets expectations. For the money, it was worth the purchase when evaluating it from a quality of worksmanship standpoint. So, I'll average it out with a 4. I am sure there are better products out there, but if you're just looking for some exercise while in front of the tv, this is easy enough to maneuver. It could be improved if there was a way to increase the resistance level for those who already have strong abs

I purchased this product last night, put it together this morning and have already burned about 200 calories!!! Im not sure why some people think its hard to put together...Im a 24 year old single mother of two and I put this together all by myself within about 45 minutes....extremly EASY...You just have to make sure you are organized...It's fun and easy to do while watching tv and it really works...I can feel it in my stomach and my arms. I usually dont write reviews but I had to on this because it is amazing!
