I have not used it for steaming or muffining yet but I am trying out all sorts of things otherwise and I just love it! Perfect for a widow alone who can't stand at the stove long any more, but still can have that home made taste you ordinarily don't get from a microwave.

This everyday microwave pan is dream come true. So versatile you can't believe it till you get it in your kitchen. You can broil, bake, roast and more in it. Saves time & results are great. Even makes hamburgers taste so much better. Totally does not leave that microwave taste. Underestimate the cooking time till you get used to it. you can always put it back for an extra minute if needed. Perfect for one or two people. Handy recipe booklet gets you started.

The Microhearth performs exactly as promised, which is rare this day and age. The meats brown,
and stay juicy, not dried out. The vegetables steam beautifully. I made poached eggs and they
were the best we have ever eaten. I would highly recommend the Microhearth to anyone who
needs to cook, especially for one. The only variation is the strength of the individual microwave unit used. Once time adjustments are made-and they are easy-the product cooks like a dream.

Just what I've been needing!

I have used the Microhearth for several different purposes in the past couple of weeks and I'm very pleased with it.....I don't eat the same foods as my family and eat small portions so it serves my purpose wonderfully! I frequently steam two cod fish filets at a time (there's room for 3) and they turn out great....it takes a total of 6 minutes. I have also fried hamburger patties with onions in the bottom and poached eggs in the muffin pan (the eggs are perfect every time and I an do other chores while they are cooking). I have also made muffins several times and they are always so perfect they look like they came from a bakery.
I have learned that most dishes take longer to cook than the recipes call for, but I have learned to begin with hot water rather than cold...that speeds it up. I wash the steamer and muffin pan in the dishwasher and the element pan by hand under running water.
The Microhearth is fairly heavy, seems to be good quality and looks nice sitting on my counter.
I had never ordered online to be delivered to the local store before, but it was delivered in just a few days and was very easy to claim at the store (no shipping charges!). I won't hesitate to do that again.
