Just bought the 32" Emerson LCD HDTV for my apartment with my girlfreind. We were on a budget for a new TV so this def was a no brainer purchase as we only spent $280 ( we paid the $20 for the extra 2 year warranty thorugh walmart that kicks in after the one year manufacturers warranty which i would recommend purchasing with a cheaper TV). Expectaions have been met so far, no issues, user freindly, picture quality is good, sound quality not so much. We put it in our living room which is a good size room so we have to have the volume up 3/4 of the way most the time. It would probably work better for a bedroom as far as sound quality goes which is where we will move it when we upgrade. But like i said for the price we paid you can't really beat it.

Okay TV - But watch out for the Power Problem

Beware of problems that Emerson has with the Power Supply on their TVs. They tend to fail after only a few months. Mine is failing after less than a month. It took me 10 mintues to get TV to turn on just this morning.

Within 3 months of receiving this TV as a gift for Christmas from my husband, it has died. Light goes to stand by without turning on and every technician says it's going to cost $300-$500 to fix! FOR A CHEAP TV???!!!! SO angry and Emerson refuses to fix ANYTHING! Calling Walmart tomorrow to demand my $ back! DO NOT BUY THIS! YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! BUY A SAMSUNG!

I think this TV is great for the price, have had one since Nov. 2010 with no problems. Wanted a TV for the bedroom and ordered a Sansui on line and it had a great picture but the speaker had static coming out of it, so I boxed it up and went to the store and got what I know is good and what I like. I now have two 32" Emersons. No complaints.!!

I bought this tv for my children's room as a second television. It is wonderful. They are able to watch their movies and cable tv on it. It hangs on the wall and has easy cable and dvd port access. We are using it in a bedroom so the sound does not have to very loud. I'm not sure how the speakers would adjust if it had to be used in a larger room. I would definitely recommend this to others.

My brother and I got this for our mom for Christmas and she absolutely loves it! And it got here so fast. It shipped on a Friday and was here by Tuesday...a day earlier than the tracking said it would. She was so surprised and she has enjoyed having her dvd player hooked up instead of having to toggle it with her Directv box.

I ordered this from walmart.com as a xmas gift for my daughter. The shipment came. I wrapped it. She opened it. We took it out of the box and found that areas of the plastic part of the tv were cracked and cracked off. Very disappointed on xmas morning. We took it back only to find that the store did not have any. We had to buy up a new TV. Only to bring it home and it did not work at all--even after a long call to the maker. We took that back and got a new one. We hope that one lasts more than a day. Very disappointed with tvs from walmart.

Puchased this tv for my grand-daughter as a Christmas gift in December 2010 to replace her 13" tv she had in her entertainment center. She absolutely fell in love with her gift she received from "SANTA". The quality and sound of the picture were more than adaquate for a 720p and 60hz tv set and the fact that she can hook up her new wi-fi blue ray player to watch "Netflix" on this tv made this Christmas a very special one for her. Purchased this set on sale after comparing this set to other more popular name brands,and this one far exceeded all of them for best value and for the price. You really don't need to get a 1080p and 120hz for a tv that is 32" or smaller. If you decide to purchase a tv 40" or larger then it is benificial to make sure the tv is 1080p and has a refresh rate of 120hz. You need those features to insure a crisp clear picture without being blurry. I would recommend this tv for any bedroom as its the perfect size. I'm waiting for this set to go back on sale for me to buy a second one for my three season sun porch that I'll hang from a swinging wall mount so I'll be able to turn it so it faces outside towards the deck or inside facing the bistro set during my summer morning coffee. Thanks Walmart for making this and other products affordable without sacraficing quality.
