PLUS-Weighs 12 pounds so it's easy to handle and use on stairs.
PLUS-The brush stops rotating whenever the handle is in upright position.
PLUS-You can turn off the brush if you are vacuuming vinyl floors.
PLUS-The handle is adjustable to various heights, which is great if you are tall.
PLUS-The handle comes out completely and can be quickly snapped to the main hose for those hard to reach high places.
PLUS-If you need more hose length, there is another hose that's anchored to the side of the vacuum that can be quickly clipped to the first hose.
PLUS-The flat crevice tool fits inside the small brush attachment so they take up less space on the vacuum. Pop them apart and quickly snap onto the main hose when needed.
PLUS-The dirt cup is easy to detach and empty.
PLUS-The HEPA filter can be removed, cleaned, and reused.
PLUS-The suction is so good that the dirt cup filled up with gray powder the first few times I used it. My carpet looked clean, but this vacuum pulled out deep down dirt.

I first tried this vacuum at my mother-in-law's home and really like the way it handled so I bought one for me. Then I let my daughter borrow it and she bought one for herself. Even her 4 yr old can handle it. I let my daughter-in-law try it and now she has one. I even bought a second one so I could have one upstairs and downstairs.

I got this vaccum from a family member couple years ago since i didnt have one she gave it to me. I have a long haired dog and a baby and a toddler and this works great. I'm very particular with the baby crawling and the dog shedding i dont want him to eat the fur. Well my grandma has a heavy not so great vaccum so i just gave her mine but am going to buy this same vaccum again next week, me and my kids have hayfever and athsma this vaccum works amazing and keeping allergies down.

Works as advertised. Transitions between carpet and bare floors with the touch of a button. Don't particularly care for all the steps with hooking up hoses to use the attachments, but the suction is great and it does clean much better than the Dirt Devil it replaced.

Being a senior citizen, I always got a backache when using my ancient Hoover. The weight of this one is such an improvement. I did know my old bagged machine was cleaner to empty, but the weight of this machine more than makes up for the small inconvenience of the dirtier maintenance. It does an excellent job on the carpet, picking up the smallest things.

So far its great! I love that It's so light weight. I have a lot of hard flooring it does a good job.
On my carpeting it has more suction then I thought it would. It did a good job. The only con I have are the tools they came with it. They could be better!

I've only had my vacuum a couple weeks, but so far it's been great (compared to my old dirt devil)! It shipped VERY quickly. Assembly consisted of inserting the handle into the body of the vacuum (took approx. 30 sec). Vacuum is fairly light, it is easy to push around when vacuuming. The extra hose you use as an attachment is slightly more cumbersome than the straight wands I'm used to but it stretches sooooo far it's really handy! Also one of the best things about this vacuum is the handle can be adjusted up or down!! Perfect for tall (and short) people!!! So far no complaints, if my vacuum dies I'll be sure to put a new review.

C'mon guys, whats it been, a hundred years these things have been around? Why can't they make a vacuum that is useful. This is my fifth vacuum (over 7 years) so far including a couple roombas. I own a 1800 sq ft house with two dogs. My main focus is to pick up all the dog hair. And it's as if the designers of vacuums don't realize people have dogs. Oh, they put the word "pet" on the side of the machine. But there is no discernible difference between either style. Hint: the pet vacuum should have a larger dust bin.
Suction was ok, but it didn't pick up any better than my last few vacuum cleaners (sans roombas, they are just expensive toys).
Issues: The online videos don't show all the workings of these machines for a reason. They don't want you to see the short comings.
My focus on this vacuum was that the handle turned into part of the suction hose. In reality, it's like disassembling and re-assembling the unit each time you use the hose. You can't even leave the power cord in place.
The power button should always be on the hand grip.
Whats the point of turning off the beater bar? Never figured that out.
It's smaller in size than my last vacuum but not that much lighter.
This will be my last vacuum purchase online. I will trudge to the store now. At least until they start posting honest videos.
Extremely disappointed and frustrated.

This is the first new vacuum I've purchased in almost 30 years. What a relief to use this light weight, easy to maneuver machine. I used it the first time immediately after using my old one and was astonished by the amount of debris that it picked up. This is a great purchase! My only complaint, and it's so minor that I hesitate to call it such, is that I can't use it on the area rug. The suction is so strong that it picks it up.

I couldn't be happier with my Hoover vacuum. I had been told by my daughter how great this vacuum was, and she was right. It is so impressive for carpet, bare floors and stairs. Since I have stairs, the light weight of this vacuum is amazing.

Suits my needs: 2 bed apartment, a cat and dust/dander allergies. Was worried about getting anything after having had both an upright and canister Dyson in the past but fed up paying so much! So bit the bullet, after all the Hoover is the original!
This vacuum is fantastic. Works easily, is light to handle and fits snug in my coat cupboard.
Don't expect this smaller vacuum to be used once a month. Use it often, clean it out properly after each use (which is easy as all the parts de/attach easily) and its a diamond!
Ps. If you can't stand cleaning out the bin dont blame the product, just get a vacuum with a bag instead.

I purchased this to replace my Dyson. It's no Dyson but a good vacuum for the price. Pros are that it picks up dirt well, easy to empty cannister and light. The cons are that the width of the vacuum head is short and using the attachments with the extension is awkward.

Bought this to replace a Dyson which was not working properly. Suction is great and the fact that is so light means I am less hesitant to whip it out when something spills. With the Dyson, I used any other means possible to clean up small messes. One negative to the strong suction is that it lifts my thin area rugs' edges and I have to turn the roller off to detach them.
Canister is small and has to be emptied frequently. Also for some reason, the stair hose was not included in the box and I have requested it directly from Hoover as directed by walmart.com. It is backordered but I should get it eventually (I hope!)
In sum, I would definitely recommend this unit. I was surprised at how mixed reviews were for every vacuum except the super high end ones and made this purchase with some trepidation but am very pleased so far.

This is the most amazing vacuum cleaner I've ever used. It's extremely lightweight and has very high suction. The directions leave a lot to be desired, but we figured out eventually how to attach the hand held tube for ceilings, corners, etc. I would highly recommend this vacuum cleaner to anyone.

This vacuum would suck the paint off the wall. It is not self propelled, and the suction is so strong that i have a hard time when pulling it backwards when vacuuming. I already have a shoulder problem and now I have to be very careful when using it. Also, this is not a good option for someone who has area rugs, because it will suck the rug up into the vacuum and damage the rug. almost impossible to vacuum even very large area rugs because of the suction. What it really needs is a way to adjust the brush height or something so that you can vacuum on different types of surfaces, but this model doesn't have this. The attachments and extra long hose are very nice and user friendly. I like the easy empty canister. It is very light. Great for someone who has mostly wall to wall carpet. Apparently my previous vacuum was a piece of junk because I emptied the canister several times the first day I used it and I have had to clean the brush roller twice in one week to clean off the long blond hair from my daughter and I. So it is definitely effective as a cleaning tool. It gets everything! I have mixed feelings about it. . . . .

This is a very good sweeper for light cleaning. It is easily portable with good suction. The only flaw is the handle mechanism, which doesn't operate too well. It has a place on the bottom of the sweeper for pressure to put handle upright or down, and the mechanism makes a cracking sound and doesn't flow too well, as though it will break easily.
