I had purchased this camera about 3 weeks ago and I have used it pretty much everyday since I had gotten it in my hands.
The Optical Zoom is great, though once you pass the "predestined" line, it does it a bit shaky.
The color and sound is crisp, so that is very pleasing.
It is also very easy to use! I love the touch screen, it makes my life easier.

I only have one problem with the item and that is that, the silver part on top does tend to pick up the oil off your hands, thus leaving finger prints and things of the same nature, but that's just me.
Also, it has 4 gb of internal memory, so that's always a plus, especially when you don't have the money to buy an SD card right away.
Over all, it is a great product and I am glad I purchased it. :]

The Toshiba Camileo X100 is a great camera. It has effects such as: Slow Motion, Video Stabilization although it doesn't work very well, Sepia etc.
Has great quality for both taking Pictures and Video and it's just a touch on the screen to switch between the two.
The only thing I don't like about this camera is the 5 hour charge time.
Overall I gave this camera 5 stars because I think compared to the other high priced cameras out there, it's a good price and a good buy!

This is the first movie camera I have ever bought, and so far, I'm very pleased with it. It has smooth action and plenty of extra features. The only thing that troubled me is that the battery life is pretty short. As far as I can tell, you could shoot about 30-45 minutes in HD and your battery is pretty much shot. I purchased some aftermarket batteries online so now I have a couple of spares, but if I had been a little more diligent in reading the reviews I may have considered different options. Other than that, the camera works great and takes excellent stills.

I do not know where to start. audio is bad if you are not very close to the camera, bad for dim lit rooms, even with shake stabilizer got bouncy jerky vids.. then it crashed and burned (will not turn on) and had to return it right before going on vaction ...salt on wound
Can't anyone do the right thing and make a decent modest digital camcorder for family fun?

Received this camera as a wedding gift. It did not hold charge at all. Literally one bar would go down after videotaping for about 2 minutes. Wouldn't charge through my computer--although it's supposed to be able to do so. The touch screen is great and its very lightweight, we just obviously got a lemon. Also, the sound is not good either. We had to turn our television volume way high to be able to hear what people were saying on the video. I suggest not to waste your money and look into something different. Many of the other reviews on this camera also talk about the flawed sound and battery life.

Was disappointed with the video.. 4G of internal memory great for pics but with video takes too much space...and mine freezes up... so does the screen..but it's a beautiful camera.. not sure if would recommend... i got what i paid for it $200. Value pack great though....

I purchased the Camileo X100 several months ago from Walmart.com with a tripod, case, and SD card for a killer deal (Christmas special). The camera works great for the most part.
Pros:
The camera is very easy to use and has 1080p/30fps and 1080i/60fps. The touchscreen menu is great and so is the time lapse special effect.

Cons:
The slow-motion is not clear, at all. It is still cool, but not nearly as clear as time lapse or regular HD.

Those are the major features I like/dislike. Also, do not get a cheap or slow SD card. My "offer" came with a 4gb class 4 SDHC card. This card makes the camera seem terrible. The HD video is only clear when moving slowly; any fast motion blurs terribly. The camera does not do this with the internal memory, so therefore I know it is the cheap SD card doing it. So get a class 6 or higher SDHC card for the best results. Also, I tend to get better video in 1080p/30 than 1080i/60.

The camera works very well and looks great on my television in HD, and also had a very nice price tag. The only issue I have is when I upload videos to youtube, there is no sound. The sound works fine when viewing the videos from the camera or on the tv, but not once loaded to youtube. I can't figure out the issue (maybe it is a youtube problem, not a camera problem). If anyone knows please let me know. Other than that the camera is great.

I recall someone having mentioned that this camera seemed to wash out the image in very bright situations, that is true. Overall it's not a professional camera, but for a quick point and shoot it seems to do the job relatively well. Due to the size (it fits very easily into the palm of one's hand), the anti-shake mode in 1080 at 30fps is the way to shoot. At 60fps and 1080 resolution, the anti-shake mode isn't an option which causes quite an annoying image.

All these awesome reviews make it look like its the best deal out there, make it sound like an awesome camera that shoots some good video. Well, its doesn't, and the reviews are WRONG! This so caled 1080P 60FPS actually just creates two files that arnt even 30FPs! The "Auto focus" is a JOKE! its constantly focusing and gets very blurry, alot while zooming in and out. I have buddies with standard camcorders that top this one times TEN. I am VERY disappointed and hope i can find someone DUMB enough to buy this from me so i can buy something better! The only positive i have to say about it is it takes decent pictures, but come on, its a camcorder!

I absolutely love this camcorder it does everything I bought it to be able to do and then some and is also easier to use than I thought it would be. I use this to upload pictures onto my computer and videos and because of that I have been able to put alot of photoes and such on my facebook profile which has been very easy to do as well. I would most definately recommend this item to anyone who wants to buy a camcorder.

I really like all the accessories that came with the camcorder. The touch screen options are great. Plugging into my HDTV with the HDMI cable was so easy and wow! The camera is very easy to operate. I have a little trouble holding it still enough. Wished it had better stabilization. Overall I would recommend this to anyone that wants to take it out of the box, charge it up and start taking pictures. May want to get a tripod. I did. The remote has only worked for me wiithin only 2 ft. from camcorder. Not sure why.

I purchased this in a bundle with a card & case which for the amount I paid it was a great price. The only issue I have had is the cd that came with it. The software on it doesn't seem to want to be installed right and I have had to reinstall it more than once. The camera itself takes great video and its smaller than my old one which is the reason I got it.
