Model #GGEX61707
My husband put this bike together with absolutely no problem.
It's a great value, and works well. The fan is just enough to cool you down without being annoying. Love that I can plug my iPhone into it. The workouts are great, and I love being able to adjust the resistance. It's also nice to just do laps.
It is a bit difficult to tighten the seat. I guess I don't have enough strength, because it slips when I tighten it. My husband doesn't have that problem, so he is the official seat adjuster!
We did take the straps off of the pedals. For us, they just got in the way. Nice to have the option to have them or not.
The only thing that I thought was odd was that it didn't come with a power cord (hence the 4 star "meets expectations" rating). Maybe it's the norm, and I had an unrealistic expectation. Haven't had an issue with the battery compartment. It actually turned out to be much nicer to not plug it in. Being battery-powered allows us more freedom as to where the bike is located.
I absolutely recommend this bike to others. I'm actually very surprised at the 3-star rating at 59% recommendation. As the title says, we love it!!

The product is assembled and works as expected. However, we did not expect 60+ parts to assemble, but we were able to do it. The console was cracked when delivered. Since it was almost the last piece to assemble, we did not notice until we had spent considerable time putting everything together.

I didn't have a lot of money to spend on a bike, so luckily I found this one! It's everything I was looking for. Great price! Very quiet! We've probably already put 100 miles on it and it's running great! It has great workout selections and even a nice fan. Had no trouble putting it together. Thank you Walmart!

Review 5 for Gold's Gym Power 230 Recumbent Bike
Decent for the money

I haven't got to use it much, the display stopped working just a few days after being put together. I woke up to a buzzing noise coming from it so I had to take the batteries out. After reading through the comments on here I was afraid of having a bad experience with customer service. I'm glad I was wrong. They were friendly, answered withing a few minutes, helped me register both my Powerspin 230 and my Crosstrainer 480, and my new display is on order. It may have helped that I called as soon as they opened on a Saturday. But I rate customer service higher than the product, maybe I was just lucky though. The display is on back order so I guess I will see how long it takes to get it.

Okay, I usually read reviews where the people give 1 or 2 stars. I feel that those individuals are extremely honest. I hardly ever trust those who give 4 or 5 stars because, I thought they were getting paid by the companies to give positive reviews. My outlook has slightly change. Now, I purchase this stationary bike because I'm super lazy. I detest driving--even if the gym is 5 miles from my home. Several time, I get to the gym, park my car, and just before I open the door; I back out and go home. I just want to work out and not have to deal with traffic getting back home.
I decided I have to excerise because obesity runs on boths sides of my family. I constantly struggle with my weight. The bike cost was 200 dollars and it appeared durable. I had it ship to the store and the arrival said about two weeks. It got to the store in a week. I had them put it together and took it home the next day. I've used it for about 4 days. It does exactly what they proclaim. Its quiet, sturdy, and exactly what I was looking for. Best purchase ever!!

So far it is a great exercise bike for me, I have arthritus in the knees and Fibromyalgia which is sore muscles and much more. I am hoping the future will show I can straighten my legs so I can walk and climb stairs easier.

Have had 230 R about a week and I am very happy with it. Use it a couple times a day. Although instructions said assembly was a two person job, I put it together bymyself in about 45 minutes. It is very stable and runs quiet. I watch tv while I exercise, and don't need to make any adjustment to the volume. I use an adapter instead of batteries. I really like this bike, I couldn't ask for anything better

The bike itself is great. The only thing I had a problem with is it came to me with broken parts but since we had it already out of the box and laid out to put together, my husband was able to fix the case screw slots so the case would hold together. I was disappointed we got a bike that had broken parts. It would have been a hassel to have to return the bike. I wish this item had been checked before shipment.

The disappointment I have experienced with buying this bike. When we went to pick it up the box looked like it had been through the war. The box was in deployable condition. After getting it home & opening the box, we find the main base is cracked and can't be put together and we found several pieces broken & now we have to deal with the company because it's out of Walmart's hands. Please that makes me think - my buying days @ Walmart could be numbered.

I fee like I'm at the gym with this bike. You can keep track by distance, time, or calories burned. You can start out easy and then work up to a higher resistance or use the preprogrammed cycles that vary the resistance for you. I am a beginner right now, but it will still be challenging enough as I improve. It's easy to move around the house too with the built in wheels, and the fan is the icing on the cake. Just be sure to buy the AC adapter - Amazon has one 10' long for less than $20. For the money, this bike is the stuff!

The people who designed the exercise bike sure didn't think things out. To assemble the seat takes 2 people to align and get it together. Also screws that old the bottle bottle holder sure won't go into the holes drilled for it. The big problem is that is runs on batteries. If you run the built in fan in a few minutes you get a warning that the batteries are running down. To get a power pack for it runs another $37.00. Add that onto what you paid for you and it's not worth it. Forget using the built in speakers they sound terrible. Beyond that it works fine for my workouts.

My Husband bought this to help me so I could work out at home. While trying to replace the batteries the Flap broke, not very sturday. Now we have to hold it up with Duct tape, and even then it doesn't really work and the batteries fall to the floor. Unless your holding it up you cant change the resistance. Wish they would send us a new battery cover, but doesn't look like it's going to happen.

I have used this machine for several months now, I have gotten tired of replacing the batteries every couple of days. I have batteries that can be recharged, a must have for this machine, unless you can get batteries for free. To replace the batteries the machine must be laid on it's side, a real chore for older people.

Review 20 for Gold's Gym Power 230 Recumbent Bike
not perfect

The bike works fine. One big problem that I see others are having: the battery panel is a very poor design and has broken on my bike and a friend's that bought at the same time. The weight of the batteries and tension in the springs place a greater force on the panel than what it can handle. The panel tabs have broken and I can not locate a replacement. Have used duct tape and electrical tape to hold panel in place but this fix only holds short term.
