Review 1 for Storkcraft - Long Horn Bunk Bed, Espresso
Espresso is NOT Black...

In the picture, the bed looks black. I realize Espresso (As in COFFEE) is a rich brown color, but I usually I go off of what the picture displays and this picture above looks BLACK. We are doing our daughters room in Black, white and red, and now, we are going to have to paint the bed to match the rest of their furniture. I'm not going to take it back because it was MY mistake on not making sure of the color. All in all, it is a nice bed. But I am really upset it's not what I expected. :(

Review 3 for Storkcraft - Long Horn Bunk Bed, Espresso
I bought this bunk bed about a month ago. I think this bunk bed could have been great. But there are a few non-negligible issues that made it a mixed feeling.
Overall, I am satisified with the qualify of the wood. Perhaps, the 4 long pieces on the side of each bed should have been stronger. If you nudge them with your legs, they bent a little.
The biggest problem I had is with the paint job like other reviewers also mentioned. Many of the parts I received have uneven colors. But that is not the worst. There is clearly a drip line of paint along the top edge of one of the headboards. That really looked ugly. It also makes me wonder whether the paint is going to hold for long.
The assembly of the bed is quite simple in my view. However, I found two of the long side pieces were mislabed so that I couldn't install the rail for the top bed. I had to take apart it a part and reassemble it again.
Be careful to make the side of those long pieces stay vertical when you install them. The holes may not be perfectly aligned, or they may be big enough to allow an angle for these pieces to tilt. That will make it difficult for you to screw on the slates. The top bunk has 4 metal braces to strengthen the joints. But the lower bunk does not have them. With the softness with these side beams, and their tendancy to tilt, I found it important to screw all slates to the frame.
I actually like the design of this bed. The paint job is absolutely a pity. Stork craft should enforce better quality control through the supply chain. I would also recommend add 4 metal braces between the side beams and the headboard for the bottom bunk just like the ones for the top.

Review 4 for Storkcraft - Long Horn Bunk Bed, Espresso
This bed is very nice and sturdy. We bought it for my 2 year old son and soon to be born son. We moved him from the crib and since the bunkbeds break down into two separate beds, we were able to put together just the top bunk since it has the railings, to keep my child from falling out of bed. When my other son is old enough, we can put the beds together or keep them separate!
My only complaint is that there are letter stickers all over it, for assembly, including a huge one that covers the entire headboard that are impossible to get off without leaving that gross reside all over it. So you will definitely need some kind of solution to remove them.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this bed. Very sold and nice looking! My husband put it together and I didn't hear complaining so I take it that it was pretty easy to assemble. There was a strong odor coming from the bed though. This dissippated after a few weeks and some Murphy's oil soap. The lower bunk is fine for our 2 year old. He is able to sit upright, but not so great for an adult to try and read to him in the bed. The total bed height isn't too high either, which is good as it's not too scary for our older son. Love the ladder that angles. Much easier for the older son to get up and down. Overall I am really pleased. We will be buying another for the girls room next!

Review 6 for Storkcraft - Long Horn Bunk Bed, Espresso
These beds look really nice for the price. The sturdiness is average. We made rhese into bunk beds and they are a bit wobbly if you wiggle them or when climbing the ladder. There is not much head room in the lower bunk. But that makes the top bunk low enough to change sheets pretty easily and low enough for 8-ft ceilings. I am not a fan of bunk beds overall but in a small room for two you don't have much choice. These were bought for 3-year-old twins and we are just hoping to get two or 3 years use out of them. I figure either the twins will outgrow them or they may become too wobbly to trust their security. I would not buy these for older children bc I think their tendency to jump around and be more active while sleeping will make them more wobbly faster. But for looks and an inexpensive bed for the wee folk, these probably can't be beat.

This bed was easy to put together. The only time I needed my husband's help was when I was ready to stack them but other than that I pretty much put it all together and it took me about 2 hours. I also like that the ladder can be detached when not in use to make the room safe for my younger child when I'm not in the room with them for whatever reason. Love it so far.

I bought this for my daughter's room. We don't have a guest room, so the next best option was having two beds in her room. We needed one of the beds to fit an adult. Most bunk beds we found had a pretty low weight limit. This set has a bottom bunk weight limit of over 200 pounds, so it was perfect for any guest we would have. Assembly: First of all, I'm a girl. Not a terribly strong girl. I was able to put this entire set together by myself. You put together the two beds separately then attach them to each other. It was a breeze. And the way everything fits together, the beds are very sturdy and safe. The quality of the wood and hardware was very good. My daughter loves her top bunk, and we'll have a guest trying out the bottom bunk soon. I would definitely recommend this, and by the way, the espresso one is beautiful!

This product was a great price for what you get. It is attractive, modern, sturdy and easy to order online. It's best for younger kids due to weight limitation and low head height on bottom bunk (picture is not accurate). Instructions were RIDICULOUS to try to follow, but manageable. Would recommend counting out all pieces before putting together. Ours was missing dowels. This was actually the 2nd bunk we bought since the first one had fitting drilled off scale. We returned the 1st and repurchased the 2nd. Thankfully Wal-Mart was super fast in its order process and delivery to the store (free too!). Overall, I would recommend if you are looking for a good looking product for a great price. Even Storkcraft customer service was helpful. English speaking Canadians were easy to communicate with when I had the problem with the original purchase parts.

We received the bed early, which was great. I was excited until I opened the box. I was HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED by the color of the bed! It is not espresso at all! It was poorly stained, and had many numerous flaws, and we only looked at two headboards. If those 2 pieces looked so terrible, I am afraid to know what the rest of the bed looks like. I was expecting it to look something like the picture. The color was uneven, and looked like an ugly brown/red color. I assumed I would be getting what I saw in the picture, and I even read many reviews that seemed favorable. I would not recommend getting this bed if you have a dark wood in mind. It is not that. I am so disappointed I will not be buying their product again. If I could give them no stars, I would.

The final product looks good, but it was a pain to put together. Took about 3 hours total to build. A couple screws and dowels were missing. Had to buy a 2nd bunk bed to replace the one headboard that’s holes were drilled off-center. Instructions were vague. Storkcraft should number label their bags of accessories according to the instructions - would help tremendously. Feels pretty sturdy, but wood is easy to ding and dent. Bottom bunk has very little headroom, but works fine for my little boys. I can't sit up on the bottom bunk. Overall, good deal for the price paid. Deliver was super quick from Wal-Mart. Only took 3 days to deliver to our local store where we picked it up. Fit just fine in our VW Jetta once the back seat was collapsed down. If you are looking for a great price for a nice looking piece - you'll definitely like this bunk.

I have done months and months of searching for well priced bunk beds. This one was definitely the best I found for the money. I'm not going to lie, it did take me all day to put together, but the directions were good and I am a woman ;-). The beds are sturdy and the color is nice. I would definitely recommend this product.
