Bought this bed for our 3 year old, first box containing all the long peices and rails looked promising, as expected looked like the picture. Opened up the head/foot board box only to find a VERY SHINEY and KNOTTED problem. All of the peices where filthy, I can deal with that, but nowhere in this picture does it look like you will see the grains and knots of the wood with so much variation. I was expecting a something with much less variation. On top of that the first peice we tried to put together was drilled wrong so BACK IT WENT. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

This bed is much nicer than I expected given the price. The directions were easy to follow, but I did this by myself. It would have been so much easier with two people. The only issue I have is that I tried to purchase this bed in another color, and when it was cancelled and I re-ordered, it was $30 more than original order was.

This looks great and was easy to put together. My only complaint for the bed is that there is not much room between the bottom bed and the top bunk. Our three year old only has a couple of inches of headroom when he sits up. I was hoping to not attached the ladder so he couldn't get to the top bunk yet, but he was able to climb the end of the beds and get to the top the first day. The beds are good quality, solid, and a great value if they will be used for younger children. The beds can come apart and be used as two twins.

Very nice bed, execllent quality, looks way more expensive than what it is. Looks more like a Pottery Barn product. The only thing that I wish was different, is to have an option to place the ladder on the other side. If it had, I was not able to understand it. Can't get a better price than this.

I did some research about bunk beds and wanted the best for my two boys, 5 and 2, ended up on the Walmart website and read the reviews on this model. It is a great bunk bed, I slept with my two year old the first night to get him acclimated with it and I absolutely love it! When you open the boxes keep the pieces that come in separate bags together, pay close attention to the position of the screw holes as you assemble and follow the instructions, don't skip ahead. Looks amazing and it has lots of support and reinforcement for the top bed! Can't ask for more!

Received beds in 2 separate shipments. Husband assembled rather easily but time consuming--a couple of hours-- directions included and easy to follow. Beds look nice.-- Purchased in chocolate color. Seem sturdy but I wouldn't push the weight limit and let multiple children jump around on the top bunk.
Purchased for 5 yr old girl and 3 yr old boy-- they LOVE them! Have slept well ever since the first night. Not as high as other bunk beds. Good for younger children. Rails on top bunk decent height to prevent falling out. --Wish they were a tad bit higher though for MY peace of mind, not theirs! Does have somewhat of a strong smell but dissipates in a few days. Over all a good purchase as far as I am concerned. Do not know how long they will last, but by then, the kids will want to be in separate rooms again anyway! :)

While this bed appears nice, the wood is not sturdy, the jointed boards were so weak, when used with a quilted top bunk matress, my 4 year old stepped right through one of the boards and it snapped. One of the side boards broke after my 6 year old jumped on the bed. The wood is not sturdy at all and highly unsafe.

We got this for my five and two year old...absolutely love it...both kids now sleeping the entire night in their own bed... It is super afforadable... Extremely sturdy...my husband was at work and the kids were excited so I put it together myself...the only thing my husband did was help me lift the upper bunk onto the bottom. You definitely need a screw gun and it does take time. But the directions were pretty easy to follow. It looks really expensive. The only thing I would say is if you have teenagers or big kids it might be a little small as a bunk as far as head room on the bottom..but this does break down to two beds for when they get older...my two year old is on the bottom and both my husband and I lay with him to get him down for the night...we fit fine but just can't sit up as far as head room goes. My son and daughter can however sit up on the bottom bunk. But other than that it is a great product. Good thick wood...I was a little concerned coming from Walmart if it was going to be flimsy because of the price but it is really sturdy. Great buy.

I love this bunk bed! My only concern was that the screws that attach the vertical bars on the side of the top bunk weren't long/secure enough and we had to go buy new screws. But overall, it is a fantastic, sturdy, inexpensive bunk bed! My boys love it!!

I have 4 kids (3 are teenagers) that needed beds for my new place, and I found this set of bunk beds that worked perfectly. It's easy to assemble, the quality is solid, and the appearance fits my decor. I highly recommend this to someone who can't afford to shell out $1,000. In fact, I have that much to spend but felt it was a waste to spend so much on beds. My only caution is to read the instructions carefully when putting the beds together and understand how the pieces for together first. I had a couple of pieces installed backwards, so I had to take part of it apart and reinstall. No big deal though. Just took another 15 minutes to complete.
