Never had a steam mop before, but I have been struggling getting my tile floor clean with swifter mop and such. So far I Love it. I feel like my floors are cleaner and less streaked. The cord is a pain to me, that's the only fault I've found, however, I've only had it about a week. So we'll see how it lasts.

I bought the DIRT DEVIL STEAMER and used it 2 times, on the 3 use it did not create steam and the power light stayed on continuously. I called the customer service number on the back and there was nothing they could do because I no longer had the receipt. I guess I just assumed the machine would have worked longer than 2 uses. Customer service rep said the light was probably staying on due to an "electrical problem and not to use tap water because that may have corroded the mechanisms". Are you kidding me, after 2 uses. Don't waste your money! I have heard great reviews on the SHARK STEAMER so that's what I am going to buy next.

i have only had my steam mop for less than a month and used it once or twice a week when it worked it did great. I only put water in it and followed the directions and it quit working in less than one month!

So far, we are pleased at its performance. The handle seems a little flimsy. Hopefully, it will continue to perform well. Hairspray had built up at the edge of my vinyl bathroom floor, and after running it over a few times, it dissolved it.

I received this as a gift and the mop cleans well but, in my opinion has several drawbacks. After cleaning it does leave streaks, it's hard to push, the triangle head is great for corners but not for going straight on at a wall, the head doesn't swivel so, moving it sideways parallel to the wall requires two hands, and the long cord gets in the way a lot. The durability of this mop seems questionable as well. The handle connects to the head by a short plastic semi hollow tube about the diameter of a penny (I've included a picture) it feels like this is going to snap off with any heavy pressure and I'm a small person (5' 4") and I don't have a lot of strength in my arms. For this price there may be better options for a little extra money.

After using this little Dirt Devil Steam Mop my floor is cleaner than it's been in years. I can no longer get down on my knees to scrub, but this little steam mop loosens the dirt, then the microfiber hoods grab up the dirt. Frankly, I'm looking forward with eagerness to the next time I will use it. It has made such a difference for me. It is light weight and small, yet easy to use. I don't need any expensive cleaners--just water in the easy-to-fill tank. Thanks, Dirt Devil makers!

I can't tell you how awesome this product is. The first time I used it I fell in love with it. I have a child in the house and it's really important to me to use as few chemicals as possible. This allows me to get the floors clean really fast, and without the use of chemicals. The pads are washable. So there is no need to continue to buy refills with this product. It's amazing. It works so fast. Even if you have a lot of floor to cover this won't take you long. And it's dry almost instantly. Which means no more waiting for hours for the floor to dry in order to move the furniture back. This is a time saver as well as a money saver. It's a decent price to begin with and to top that off there is no need to buy cleaners any more. How much money do you think that will save you? I use this product twice a week. When needed. I don't have carpet in my apartment at all except for a few throw rugs. This cleans the flooring in my entire apartment in less than half the time it used to take me using a mop and bucket. I would definitely recommend this to everyone. Even if you don't have children. I don't have any animals. But I used to. And based on it's performance in my apartment. I would say that if you have pets, this is still a good choice for you as well. Oh, one more thing. This product runs very quietly. It isn't noisy at all. You have to pay attention to it in order to know that it's actually on, because you won't hear it. At the loudest that this product gets it's a exhale of breathe type noise and still pretty darn quiet. You could run this while someone else in the house is watching tv and it won't interfere with reception or with being able to hear the tv. I have done that a lot. I could hear the tv like I was sitting in front of it without cleaning the floor.

The steam mop had two large polarized blades on the plug in SO I returned it
to my local store. I have taken a chance and reordered it online. Keeping my fingers crossed
that the next one will not have the faulty plug. Will review again after it is delivered.

Disappointing. Left streaks all through the floor even after a new install of bamboo. Floor wasn't even that dirty and it left streaks all over. I followed all instructions so it's too bad they don't test a product or if they did still put it out there for consumers. You can do better Dirt Devil.

When I turned it on, it made a horrible sound and didn't start "hissing" "in 30 seconds" like the directions said it would. Eventually the sound stopped and the hissing started, and it did clean up some bad spots, but it left streaks all over the floor, so I will have to reclean the floor with some other product.

It cleans my vinyl VERY well and leaves is VERY soft. The pads are washable, but they do cake up very easy if your floor is not VERY well swept, and there is not allot of goop of on your floor. If this happens, the pad will get too dirty to continue with cleaning until you simply wash out the pad in the sink to get the yuckies off. Also, the steering over dry dirty floors takes a little muscle because the hot steam makes it kind of stick to the floor causing allot of friction.

I always buy something judging by how many bad reviews there is and depending what they say. I decided to go ahead and get it anyway and I'm glad I did! The handle could be a little stronger but so far it's done perfectly. It steams perfectly and got up messes I thought were permanent. After using it everyday for a week the pads aren't sticking to the floor anymore (which made it more difficult to push) I would suggest washing the pads at least 3 times before using them so they lose their stiffness/stickyness. Overall this is a great product and for the price it's worth it!
