This scale was superb while it lasted, unfortunately, after a year and a half it got a 'sticky' weighing platform that caused a non-stop error function and I finally had to toss it. Won't buy it again.

Review 2 for Biggest Loser Digital Kitchen Scale

I LOVE this scale! It was my first step into the modern technology of a digital scale; I've had two regular kitchen scales before this. I was going to buy the Mainstays kitchen scale that's regularly sold in our Wal-Mart, but visit after visit, there were none on the shelves. I came to the website to find it and get it delivered to my store, but found this one instead, for pretty much the same price. (And of course, there were digital scales on the shelf the day I went to pick this little beauty up.# This is the first scale I can put my dinner plate on, tare to zero its weight out, and then start adding food in the correct proportions. It's the first scale I can get such an accurate reading on things like grated cheese with.
I've read reviews in which people said they wanted their kitchen scales to go higher than the 6.6 pounds this one will read, but I can't understand why anyone in a personal home kitchen would need to weigh more than 6 pounds of food for themselves. Even when I make a batch of bread and weigh the flour and dry ingredients instead of using a measuring cup for them, 6 pounds is more than enough for my family.
The low cost of this scale is well worth its usefulness, and I can easily afford the battery replacements--especially considering how long the lithium batteries that comes with it lasts. Whether you're trying to lose weight (which I was not, when I initially bought this scale) or simply trying to get correct portions of healthy foods, or make bread the "other way", this lovely little scale is invaluable as a tool and not an eyesore if you leave it sitting out on your counter, as I do.

I like it, the only real complaint is that the LCD screen that shows weights happens to be difficult to see if what you are weighing is the same size as the glass cover.. Then you have to peer under the glass to read the weight.
