We bought this bicycle in 2009 for our then 4 year old and he's riden it for 3 years and is ready for the next size. It is excellent. We've had no issues. the training whels have bent a little, but still support the bike and him. However, you should see how he rides this and turns on only the training wheels, so I wouldn't consider a slight bend a negative. this will last through our second son's use. A great deal!

I often 'window shop' online at Walmart for merchandise. And thanks to all the positive comments from the reviewers, it confirmed my decision to get a Huffy for my grandson's 5th birthday. Back in the 70's (when my sons were small), that was the big name in bikes. Fortunately, my store already had two fully-assembled bikes on display, and all I had to do was stuff one in my cart. I can't wait to see his face when I ask him to unlock the shed door for me.

My son just turned seven but is probably about the size of an average six year old. The bike still fits him ok, but this will probably be the last year before outgrowing it. It's a perfect bike to learn how to ride since it's durable and reasonably light. I actually prefer not having a kickstand in order to minimize the weight. It's a good enough bike that he can happily ride it and keep up with the adults for about 3 miles or so. Well worth the money.

Just bought this for my 5 year old. Great bike especially for the price.
Would have been nice if it came with a kickstand, but even when I added one from Walmart for about $7, it is still much cheaper than any other new bike I looked at. I would recommend this bike to anyone.

Very easy to put together. The back wheel and chain are already attached to the frame in the box, so you just have to do the front wheel, handle bars, seat & pedals.

If your kid is planning to ride this bike without the training wheels, make sure that he or she is at the minimum 43" tall because once the bike seat is at its lowest he or she will still be tippy toeing after a stop. I'm letting my 43" tall son grow into it and so far he is doing well, 45" tall kids would be idea to ride this without the training wheels. Otherwise, it's a pretty solid bike, incredibly easy to assemble and shipped quickly.

The bike seems very nice so far, but I have to tell you that I was very disappointed in the color of the bike. We looked at one in the store and it was red. I ordered the same bike online (or so it appeared) but when we opened the box after delivery it was definitely NOT red in color. It is a dark brownish burgandy color, not very pretty for a child that really wanted a red bike.
