i cannot even begin to explain the amount of movies i watch. this was one that i was sort of worried about due to loving the book, but also SUPER excited about from curiousity. after watching it, it hit me so hard that i almost instantly wanted to watch it again. the effects are great (making everything look eroded, burning, collapsing, desolate and dying) and the acting is absolutely phenomenal. i can honestly say its one of if not the most intense, gripping movie i've ever seen. i will warn you however though, it is VERY depressing. the human emotion portrayed in this movie is so believable its frightening at times. it is a movie about love, survival, desperation and the end of the world as we know it. as hopeless as this movie seems at times, one can only appreciate its brutal honesty. give it a shot, people will either love and appreciate it, or simply not be able to handle it. it was everything i ever wanted in a movie.

This movie was across the board HORRIBLE! If you like disappointment, disgust, and injustice this is the movie for you. Walmart has some of the best prices and values but this is one item that should stay in the stock room or "fall off the truck."

this film is so underrated.... this film is beautiful and it hits my heart so much.... its a journey and a film about a love story between father and son and how to survive in an apocalyptic world.... they must survive and live each day and its so touching... best film so far this year in my eyes
