Received bike, easy assembly, great condition, great quality only negative is chain broke on second outing, decided to replace with a heavy duty chain and have had no problems since. Did require some adjustments to gearing, but overall well worth the cost.

The bike rides well, I am using it for general riding around doing 3-5 miles. No problems with it apart from some noise on certain gears, I will be buying some oil product to hopefully get rid of that and give me no problems.

After reading several reviews i bought this bike online. There are several good things about this bike, it affordable, lots of features. I received 6 days after online order and assembled by walmart team. Initially rear gears working smoothly but within a week gear shift reversed but working ok and also only two front gears working smootlly. Looks lot of tuning is required for proper gear shift. after couple of jumps , very small from pavement to road the seat became loose, not worthy, you need to change to a better seat. Rear suspension seems smaller than the white color bike. I felt bearings are not smooth and wheels are rolling very hard. Nothing broke to me as in other reviews like pedals but returned this bike as i cannot afford to keep changing parts.

Very good bike for beginner or moderate biker. The only bad point is the seat, not confortable for long run...! You will have to change the seat for a usage on a daily basis.

Worked great the first few days, the next week it wouldn't shift into the first gear on the front then it would hardly shift into the third gear. Buy the end of the month the rear was skipping gears and the front brakes were giving out.

For the money you can not really ask for anything better. The forks really should be replaced with 100mm travel. this bike only has 80mm travel. The tires on it are very grippy.

I was looking on bikesdirect and looking to spend about 450 on a seemingly good quality bike, but I wanted to see if I was really going to ride the thing once I got it. Finally decided to get the v2100. This bike is ok if you want to see if you're actually into mountain biking before you spend a great deal on a real bike, but not a good bike all together. Suspension is just springs and shifters and components are bottom quality. It is cheap, but I didn't expect it to be as cheaply built as it turned out to be. Still, I have about 50 miles on it and it hasn't broken yet. Takes alot of effort to get going as the shock is almost preload adjustable, but not really.
Bottom line, I would probably recommend the hardtail instead of this one just to see if you can hack it as a mountain biker, then move up to one of the bikesdirect.com products

Was surprised at all the features that were on the bike for the money. It was actually recommended to me by a man that was just walking by as I was looking at bikes. he got one for his son, and he loves it.
It's been a long time since I had a bicycle, and this one is great fun. I'm 6'1" and 200lbs, and it handles my weight fine, and is only just a bit on the small side for me, but not uncomfortable at all.
I really like the thumb gear paddles, and only has to do a little adjustment. Great quality.

The bike works well, I had it sent to my house and it came disessembled. So I took it to a walmart to get it assembled and they got it done in a day. It rides well but the seat is really uncomfortable for your buttocks. Id recommend getting a new seat if ou get this bike.

Ive had the bike for about two weeks now and rode it everyday, great bike love it, it comes with a Genesis racing seat with is kinda painful i would recommend changing the seat but overall great bike for trails, road the dual suspension is great. Its the best bike you can buy for the money. It climbs hills well. Great bike for anyone wanting to hit the trails.

I just happened to be at Wal Mart and decided to look at some bikes since I had recently given my Mountain Bike away to a homeless man down on his luck who needed a bike to get back and forth to his new job. I certainly did not plan on buying one until winter was over! I came across this bike and was immediately impressed by the construction, features, and overall quality of the bike. Having been a competitive BMX rider when younger and a mountain biker for the last few decades, I was curious about the price since it had better features than the Mongoose bikes there. So I took this up the counter expecting it to be high priced and was shocked when the cashier said it was only $159! I quickly purchased it and took it for a test ride in the park on some trails. I was able to easily hop over objects, maneuver, pedal fast, and the gears were flawless. The bike is comfortable and looks great. Again, I am in shock at how low cost this was. Being a former BMXer, I always prefer larger BMX style pedals so I replaced the stock pedals with some Diamond Back alloy BMX pedals. I also added a Zefal light set, and aluminum water bottle clamp with plastic bottle. Like I said, the gears are great and I like the disc brake. Some of my friends are impressed that paid so little for the bike and some of these guys have bikes that cost as much as a motorcycle! Do I stay with them on the trails with no problem whatsoever even though their bikes take a loan to purchase? Yes! I highly recommend this bike. It is difficult to beat for the price. I have zero complaints. Did I mention it looks awesome and is light? The Shimano products on this bike speak for themselves.
