We bought 2 sets of these tables for our basement, which is set up like a bar/cafe. They're not too wide and the padded seats are so much better than what we had. We thought they were a real bargain for the price. We will only use these 3 - 5 times per year while entertaining and I have already covered them with tablecloths. They quite neutral and will go with any color scheme. We are very happy with the purchase.

Table and chairs are super nice, chair are very strong and sturdy being that I am a big lady. Love the colors, love the size, perfect for a very small area. The only problem was the table and chair arrived damaged :( the table was damaged underneath which I really didn't care because it's not viewable unless you look underneath but the chair was damaged on the inside (where you lean your back), a piece of wood was missing, it seems that when it was scrwed from undeneath the wook broke from the pressure? I didn't want to go thru the whole hastle of returning it (I called and went to Walmart directly) so instead I took it to a furniture store for them to fix it (I don't know if it was complicated to build because I had professionals build it for me).

Have had this product for a week now, relatively easy to assemble.....it took me a few hours because I apparently don't follow directions well. It's small and cute and fits well my little apartment very well. Rich color, sturdy for the most part. Would definately recommend.

I am self-employed and bought this set to use as a small conference table in my home office. It's large enough to sit and meet with a client over papers without taking up a ton of room, since it won't be used that often.
The table is very sturdy and I use it as extra layout space when needed. That being said, the chairs aren't as sturdy as the table. They look nice and are quite comfortable but if I was using this as a dining set daily vs. the occassional use I do, I would be concerned about them. But it has been quite perfect for my needs and held up nicely so far.
I was a little concerned about putting the chairs together because of some of the other reviews here but I didn't have any trouble. I single-handedly had the entire 3 piece set built in slightly more than an hour.

We loved the look but the chairs were cut improperly which made assembly off. Should of returned but thought it would work ok since we dont use it daily. After sitting in the chair maybe 3 times it broke last night.

It was easy to assemble except for the fact that one corner of the table did not have the pre-drilled holes for the legs. I had to drill my own, other than that, looks good.

What I did not like is that the assembly instructions for the chairs was NOT included in the packaging. I called, emailed, called and called attempting to get to a solution. It took several days, however FINALLY I was able to get those emailed to me. Realizing that Metropolitan is not the manufacturer of this dining set....Overall I am pleased with my purchase.

Overall, the set is very nice, love the color of the wood. However, the chairs were a bit difficult to put together as the directions were not too clear and I had to take off and redo the chair about 3 times till I got it right, the table took 5 mins as I just had to put the legs on it. However, when turning the screws with the allen wrench, I noticed if I tightened it too much, I heard a slight "crack" noise in the wood, so I wouldn't recommend "overtightening". They say to re-tighten after about 2 weeks. I expected the table to be a bit smaller as I would have liked as I have a small kitchen, however it works for the space. Chairs are very nice, plush, comfortable. All in all would recommend if your looking for a nice set for the price.

First, I would like to say that this table looks really nice! The size was perfect for my one bedroom, 600 square ft. apartment. However, while putting it together, I noticed that a few parts were already stripped; I still continued to put it together because I knew I would just go buy a bigger bolt for it. When I got to the very end, I noticed that a key bolt that should have already been installed in the table leg, was missing. FRUSTRATING!!! I will be returning this table soon and spending a little more money on something of quality.

Delivery man was actually holding the cardboard and table together like an open turkey sandwich. One peak and the table had a big gash. There was no reason to look any further into the already open box so I refused delivery. I can't believe it shipped with such little care and I can only guess it traveled a long way falling out of the box. The color looked rich and if it was it good condition I would imagine it might be a good set but I guess I'll never know. I'm hanging up the notion of ordering large items online...this is the second large return (1st was a computer desk) and I had physically take the desk to the post office myself...after fitting it back into it's original box like a puzzle...not fun.

I love this cute little table! I spent like 2 hours shopping for a table like this online at various furniture stores, and department stores and nothing beat the price of Walmart! I usually do not shop at Walmart because the one near me does not meet my expectations, but this purchase left me highly satisfied. It was fairly easy to put together (I had help though!) and looks very nice.

I had no trouble with the assembly. The chairs are a little tricky but follow the guide and photos and you will be seated in a snap. I like the look and the finish of the table and chairs. It is perfect for a smaller kitchen/dining area - apt.

This set was not difficult to put together. I did have one small piece that was damaged during shipping but I just glued it instead of going through the return process. This looks very elegant and is just what I needed at a price that fit my budget.
