The Sony Mini Hi-fi Music Shelf System charges, plays, and controls your iPod or iPhone. This Sony Mini Hi-fi Music Shelf System is a complete mini audio system that's still small enough to store out of the way when not in use, or up on a convenient shelf. The Sony Music Shelf System is more than just a stereo and speakers for your iPhone/iPod player, it also sports and CD player, an AM/FM radio, and an alarm clock. The Sony Shelf System has a single-disc CD player with CD-R/RW and MP3 playback capability that accommodates not only factory-pressed CD-Audio discs, but also consumer-recorded CD-R and CD-RW discs, you can play any CD around with this hi fi stereo system. This Sony Music Shelf System also features an AM/FM tuner with 30 station presets, and includes a remote control.

I bought this stereo for my little brother for christmas, and now I really want one for myself. The thing is so loud the first day he got it my parents had to ground him from it, and a few days later I was using it and got a call from our neighbors over a half mile away asking me to turn down the noise because they were sleeping, I absolutley recomend this stereo it is an amazing product, way to go Sony!

I had been looking at this for a couple years and got it about two months ago for my birthday. I set it up in our living room at first and I was slightly disappointed because it wasn't as loud as I was hoping, but then again I was in a rather large room. I moved it up to my bedroom the next day and it was perfect! The sound is great, it is very powerful. I couldn't ask for more. Though I didn't pay for it, it is definately worth it if you're a big music person and love your music loud with some bass.

Overall product is awesome. Only thing I don't like is that you can't adjust the subwoofer, its only either on or off. But the clear sound is superb! One of my favorite features is the sleep timer, just turn on the FM Radio & ZZzzZZZZzz =) Love it!!

I purchased this product for use in the kitchen of the restaurant that I work at. Since it is used by multiple people, I wanted to get something that was versatile with different media sources and, limited by a budget, also needed to find an economical option. This system has met and exceeded all expectations. The sound is incredible (note: if used in a commercial kitchen, such as I am doing, leaving the subwoofer off during business hours is recommended). The Ipod dock/charger station is a big hit. I find myself considering purchasing the same product for home.

We were very disappointed. The stereo came in and I brought it home and wrapped it for Christmas. My grandson opened up the box and it had already been open the remote control was gone the books and papers were all thru the box and nothing was secured. It was very obvious that it had been opened and either returned or was a display model. We then had to go back to the store return the item and get a replacement. Was not happy about the whole deal. The replacement was nice and we like the stereo.

I was looking for a nice stereo for my garage bar that didn't cost a fortune. After reading the reveiws on this one, I decided to buy it. This is by far the best sounding $200 stereo I have ever herd. You can crank the thing all the way up and it still sounds great.

I bought this for a party i was having and it was great for an hour, it wasnt up loud at all and it went in protect mode, and then we reset it and 10 minutes later protect mode. SO Annoying when you buy the system that says it can handle 540 watts but you cant play it without over heating it for longer than an hour.

This unit is by far the best sound and quality for the money. The bass is outstanding, I was able to hear the quality sound all through my house. I like the fact you can control the iPhone settings from the remote control. Also the unit is compatible with the iPhone 4s. You do have to remove your iPhone case in order for the phone to dock properly. All in all this is a great system! I definitely give it 2 thumbs up!

I use this stereo everyday. I plug my TV into it from the headphone jack on the TV to the PC-in(aux in) on the stereo with an aux cord from radio-shack for 3 dollars. It makes every show and movie sound far better than the TV speakers. The iPod dock works great too, even though it seems flimsy and cheap when you look at it in the store, its not. Mine is still not broken, cracked, and it still sounds the same since day 1. The bass that comes from the stereo is great for even large rooms, and the DSGX button on the stereo really defines the music. This can go louder than you will ever need. I blast this loud enough so picture frames shake on my walls and the music is still not distorted. As for the speaker cords, they could be a bit longer. I think they were only about 4 feet long which is fine if you want the speakers close together but I have them mounted on two of the walls in my room, and the sub woofer on the floor. I extended the speakers with basic speaker wire to about 15 feet long and it worked great. Everything still works as it should and this makes all of my friends that come over jealous. I have owned it for a year and a half now. I always recommend Sony products for everything.

The display flashes PROTECT and none of the buttons respond. Does not work at all - tried troubleshooting per website/manual to no avail. Large package - very inconvenient!
