The As Seen on TV InStyler Hair Iron has an amazing hair styling technology that might just replace your flat iron. The rotating hair hot iron straightens curls and styles faster than ever, taming the coarsest curl, the thinnest flyaway hair and straightening even the thickest, curls - all with less frying drying heat.
I find my hair is smoother and softer when I straighten with an InStyler as opposed to a straight iron. I have been using one for several years now and would be lost without it! Some people complain that they have to go over the hair more than once. I find for my wavy hair a couple times is enough to get it straight and smooth looking. I do recommend using the guard if you have bangs. Prior to them coming out with the guard, I did burn my forehead quite severely a couple times (the unit does get very hot); now I don't have this problem. Surprisingly for as hot as the unit gets, it does not seem to burn or dry my hair like a straight iron.

Review 3 for As Seen on TV InStyler Rotating Hair Iron
This product is ridiculously priced however after using my aunts InStyler I was sold. Once I got the hang of it my hair was silky smooth and calm. I have very long thick curly hair and use it after I blow dry. It works as a straightener for me. I haven't tried it to create a different look. It was very worth the purchase.

Review 4 for As Seen on TV InStyler Rotating Hair Iron
I have curly hair that tends to be frizzy at times, and the curls can be very stubborn and hard to smooth out -- unless you have a great styling tool like this one. This is one of several hair straighteners I've used and it is by far the best. It cuts down on styling time and leaves hair looking polished and sleek with less flyaways/static than some of the other straighteners I've tried. I love it! (The delivery time was quick too; I ordered it on a Tuesday morning and received it the very next day.) This is a great product for anyone who wants to straighten hair in less time and end up with beautiful results! Absolutely worth the price.

Review 5 for As Seen on TV InStyler Rotating Hair Iron
I am so gald I made this purchase. I set it on the 2nd level. It does get too hot all the way on. When your hair gets too hot to touch with your hand you know it is Hot. 2nd level is plenty hot to do what I need it to do. It is so much fast than using a large curling iron to get the effect I want. 2 girls at work have now ordered them. It will calm the frizz in your hair. If you have shorter hair get the smaller one. Be sure and use a good leave in conditioner. The heat does have a tendancy to dry your hair.

What it's missing is something to rest it on, there's no stand or anything so you have a little portion of the iron touching the counter every time it's put down.

This product actually worked ok on my hair (wavy hair), the results were not extremely effective but I guess moderate, however, between 3-6months of using it the instyler broke apart. The cap of the cone fell off and later on the whole part felt apart. I was very dissappointed on the product, and unfortunately I was unable to get a refund since I lost the receipt (my fault). People please don't buy this product, spend $100 on something else!!!

Absolutly a piece of junk

I bought this on ebay because I didn't want to spend the 100.00 for it at walmart or 120.00 for it on the instyler site.
Well let me tell you I'm delighted that I only spent 40.00 on it because its HORRIBLE!!!!!!!
I have normal healthy middle length fine (but not baby fine) naturally wavy hair.
The instyler curls it a little but 2 minutes later the curl is GONE!!! I have to spray with hairspray and hold the barrel on my hair for a long time (to the point its way to hot to touch when you take the hair off the barrel) to even get a decent curl.
I'm in my 30's and I can't remember burning myself more than 2-3 times with a regular curling iron or a straight iron. I have burned myself pretty badly 4-5 times and I've only used it twice. OMG IT HURTS!!!!
Also from damp to curl (well semi curl) it takes a really really really long time to do. It generally takes me only 15-20 minutes to go from soaking wet to dry straight and bottom curls, with my hair drier flat brush and curling iron. 30-40 with my remington wet to straight flat iron and curling iron. The instyler took me over an hour, and looked like total garbage!!
Bottom line... SAVE YOUR MONEY.. My $9.00 revlon 1 1/2" barrel curling iron, my $10.00 revlon hair drier, my $20.00 straightener and $2.00 flat brush do a MUCH BETTER JOB!!!!!

Review 13 for As Seen on TV InStyler Rotating Hair Iron
Nice, but difficult at first

I like my InStyler a lot. It was difficult for me to use at first. It would work better for me if the barrel could rotate in different directions via a setting change or somthing. It seems like it is meant for someone that styles their hair with either hand and I am not able to do that. Otherwise I like it. My hair comes out very beautiful when I use it now that I have gotten the hang of it. Other then wanting the barrel to be abl to switch directions I have no other changes I would make to it.

I like the way my hair looks!

Now I'm not going to say this is the revolution of hair products but... I'm a minimalist and very "get out of bed , run my fingers thru my hair and run out the door" type of girl... I really like that this product heats up very fast (since having 2 little ones to get ready in the morning-time is of the essence) ... and it does make my hair shinier and sleeker. I always liked the curved - just blown out straight look... and though my hair is already straight and pretty healthy, I received comments on how "nice" my hair looked that day! Now i haven't really gotten into the whole major styling of my hair yet , but definitely straightened (more) and curved my ends, and it seemed much "healthier" looking, with life and movement. I'm content with its ease of use. I still don't know if almost 100 dollars is worth this and would like it to be a little better handling on the top of the iron itself when it's EXTREMELY hot. Over all I like it. I spent the money might as well use it to it's fullest. One day it'll happen. :-)

IT"S NOT FOR EVERY HAIR TYPE! BE CAREFUL!

I don't know if my case is an isolated case but I think I have the responsibility to share my experience with this product with everyone. I have a hair that I consider to be ethnical hair; however my family is a mixed of Black, White, Asian, and indigenous people. I have been styling my hair by myself for the last 18 years because I cannot used strong chemicals or lots of heat, plus is not every hair dresser that knows how to treat my hair once it’s so mixed. So for 18 years I have been doing my homework to have a healthy hair. I used just one source of heat (blow dry or flat iron# for all this period. I was really excited to try the in styler once it supposed to make my hair look healthier. My first experience was rewarding I have done my bangs with the product and it looked amazing how shine and natural it was. I did my bangs at least for 4 times. When I finally decided to make all the hair it was absolutely awesome! I used the lower temperature in all the extension of my 18-20 inches long and volume hair. I loved the fact that it didn’t get flat and I made the fold out. Normally I have always lose some hair after every brush time so I didn’t noticed side effects earlier , however after the first wash after using the in styler on all my hair, the upper back part was gone! From a length of 18 to 20 inches hair in some parts I have just 4 inches instead. I as too surprised by the happening and I tried to excuse the instyler at first but reviewing everything and every step the guilt one is the machine. I’m emotional yes! I didn’t mind to pay the 97,77 dollars if the outcome was what they promise .However this came out to expensive to me . I gave my product back and got my money back #I love Wal-Mart!!) I hope that this emotional review helps somebody else because this rotation iron IT”S NOT FOR EVERY TYPE OF HAIR. I couldn’t reach anybody on the phone number they give on the package. So now I’ll need to wait to my hair grow back …………..I’ll never change my chippo Conair again .Lesson learned.

InStyler Rotating Hair Curiling Iron

The InStyler Rotating Hair Curling Iron was not as easy to use as it seems as shown on TV. I also could not get it to curl my hair even at the highest temperature setting. I also found it a bit difficult to use. One thing I did not try was to let someone else curl my hair. I didn't try this because the reason I purchased it was to be able to do my own hair. I had to return it.

my hair is long wavy and frizzy. i use my instyler everymorning, and as soon as i get to school, my hair is already beginning to get wavy and frizzy again. it doesnt stay straight with this! any other straightener works on my hair. the bristles also get rough and worn out. it doesnt keep your hair curled either, and takes forever to heat up. luckily i just bought a new straightener and it already works 10x better than this one

Didn't meet my expectations

When I heard about the Instyler, I was so excited and had to try it. Since there is a money back guarantee, I thought, "Why not?" I started out by straightening my hair with it, and it took a lot longer than a regular straightener. It made an annoying sound every time you clamp down on it. I also tried curling my hair, and it was difficult to wrap my hair around the barrel, because I had to avoid burning my hand on the straightener side. I was disappointed in this product, and will be taking it back.

Awkward at first, but worth learning how!

I was going to send this Instyler back after the first couple of tries.. I even printed out a return receipt for it, but then decided to give it one more chance. This time, I wasn't in a big rush, and washed my hair, got it pretty much dry with a regular dryer, then started working on my somewhat frizzy, somewhat damaged (from flat irons!) hair. It's very fine, long & blonde, and can be difficult to keep smooth. After a short time, I finally learned to make sure the roller was going in the right direction, and a few other tricks the video teaches, plus I got the hang of doing the left side right handed, without it feeling awkward. It takes about 3 times to master this thing,,,, you have to be patient! Now, I wouldn't part with it, and it scares me how close I came to giving up on it! The Instyler caused no damage (I use the LOWEST setting) and it looks marvelous after I finish. I would recommend that the best way is to go in sections. Doing the underside layers of my hair first worked best, then the top layers. Smooth on some silicone shine spray with your hands, add a bit of hairspray, and you're done. I love this product, and would recommend it highly. Important: When you buy, Be REAL careful to make sure it's a GENUINE Instyler, there seem to be a lot of counterfit ones on eBay. I think that might be why some people aren't happy with theirs. Remember, be patient, work on technique, and also, go S-L-O-W-L-Y when you're using it, for best results. The noise it makes isn't bad at all, it's not loud either. I'm not sure why it bothers some of the reviewers, but then maybe they had a fake one....? I ordered mine online at Wal-mart, because their return policy is so convenient. But I won't be returning this item! They weren't kidding, it really does "polish" your hair and makes it shine. Buy one TODAY!
