Sony Sony CFD-S05 CD Radio Cassette Player
The Sony CFD-S05 CD Radio Cassette Player is highly compact and portable so you can carry it with you to beaches and other public places. Popular with music lovers, the CD MP3 player plays all your cassette-tapes and audio CDs with ease. It sports a digital flat panel screen that displays the track numbers or the radio frequency. Also, you can create your own mix tape using the synchronized CD/cassette dubbing feature. It can playback CD-R/RW discs and can store presets up to 10 AM and 20 FM stations. You can play the songs from your iPod on the radio player by using the audio-in jack. The portable CD radio cassette player integrates a bass reflex speaker system that delivers high-quality sounds and reproduces even the low frequencies in accurate detail. The sound quality is fairly consistent across the entire audio spectrum and doesnt distort even at high volumes. The Sony CFD-S05 features an easy-to-use interface with large buttons.

I looked at almost every combo boombox and they all had bad reviews. This on had good ones. My mom use to listen to music on Sundays and her old radio kicked the bucket so I thought it would have been a perfect mothers day gift. I never saw such a huge smile on my mom in a long time. Thought it would keep her home more than the casino. She is still getting use to it. ONE thing I DID NOT like about it is that setting the stations is a pain. You have to click a button and than go to the station manually and click the button again. More money than I wanted to spend but if it works and my 87 yr. old dad and 62 yr. old mom enjoys it than that satisfies me.

I found this Cassette / CD player to be more than I expected. The AM/FM radio is suburb. It has 10 AM and 20 FM programmable station. The best part of all, is I ordered on line and it was delivered to my door the next day. In my opinion you can't go wrong for the price.

I used it only a handful of times before the CD player stopped working. Sony sent me a shipping label but I have to pack it up and drive to a FedEx location to return it for a replacement.

This Sony product plays audio CDs, cassette tapes, and contains a radio. It is rare to find the combination of all three these days and this product is also sold at a bargain price. If you treat it well, it will treat you well; it does not just break down, as some have suggested, for no reason (unless you happen to get a lemon). It's also small and lightweight to boot! So don't hesitate to buy this product if this is the combination you're looking for.

I bought this product as a gift for my Mother because she still likes to play her cassettes. I also thought the price was good. The reason I only gave it an average rating is because the cd side doesn't have a continuous play or select track mode.

It works fine as a radio. The bass isn't exceptional, in fact, it's necessary for decent sound quality. The description of the product says that it is digital and I thought that meant that one could pick up digital radio stations. I don't know what is digital about the radio, but one can't pick up any digital radio stations.
I have not tried the cassette or CD players because I prefer someone else to be the DJ.

CD, Cassette Player, and Radio. This does it all and more. Originally was just looking for something to play my favorite old cassettes. Doing some research found this device and realized this was a great value. Very compact and portable. Has a foldaway handle and antenna. Sound is superb, no static. Very pleased. PS. Walmart had the best price by far.

I've been using a dinky little boombox that my landlord left behind and one day I decided I wanted to upgrade to a digital tuner. I really like the choice I made. The Sony has a feature that scans all radio stations in your area (up to 20) and automatically adds them to presets. It also sounds pretty good (not great, but pretty good) and it has a hookup for my iPod. The fact that it has a cassette player is fairly irrelevant because I haven't owned tapes since the 90s, haha. Anyway, I'm pleased with it. It's a good buy, I think.

This CD/cassette/radio is about as small as it could be and still has decent speakers. It's hard to find combo cassette players now. Looks much better than those gaudy huge boombox things. Seems to be a quality product.
