I wanted more floor room for my 12 year old. Easy to put together though having 2 people certainly helps. Glad I had hex bit as my hands would have died tightening each screw. I and most importantly my daughter LOVE IT.

We bought this bed for our fast growing 9 year old. It has created a space in her room that was very much needed. Now she has room to move around and a space to keep all of her toys under control. It was fairly easy to put together. I did originally think I was buying a twin sized bed because of the description. We went ahead and kept the bed, but had to return the twin mattress we had ordered to go with it. It is very sturdy. She loves it!!!!

This bed was our saving grace in my daughters very small bedroom. Like other customers have said, the box that the bed came in looked like it had been hit by a truck but everything inside was free from damage. My daughter and I put it together in about 2.5 hours with no issues. But a driver and allen head bit are a must. It would have been very difficult and time consuming to use the allen wrench they supply. After it was assembled I tightened the bolts and I think i will check it again in a few weeks. The bed fun and functional. And for a preteen you couldn't ask for anything more. She is having a blast with it and is now able to create her own space.

We had a similar problem others have had with holes not lining up - ironically on the first step - but no other problems putting it together. We had no damaged parts and are very happy with this product.

bit higher than I expected still room enough between bed and ceiling in a standard height room.
son loves it and dog can't climb ladder to get onto the bed (a pleasant extra)
walmart service point was prompt and on par with other online retailers such as amazon, overstock, etc.
assembly took a bit of time but all the parts were there and the assembly directions were fairly clear. Note: you will use all the parts so be conscious that you do not misplace any.

Needed replacement piece, tough setup

I share a room with my small daughter and needed to make the best of limited space. I was looking into getting a single bed for myself, then I ran across the idea of loft beds. The product is definitely a good value and vastly increases the amount of space in my room. Two problems though:
1. The lower support beam that connects the two ladders wasn't properly drilled for a screw going in lengthwise and couldn't be installed. I'm going to need to contact the manufacturer for a replacement. I'm using the bed at the moment and it doesn't feel unsturdy, but I certainly want all support beams in there.
2. I built it alone and it took 3 difficult hours. I knew it would be a tough solo project, but anybody that's not used to building something this large ought to get somebody to help them. Starting off the frame by yourself will be tricky. Also, as it says in the instructions, make sure not to tighten any of the screws until you're finished. I didn't think I had them too tight, but I noticed that the front-left leg was hovering slightly above the floor and had to loosen and re-tighten all of the screws at one point to level the frame.
I knocked off one star for the replacement part I'll need to get, but it's still a good value.

I had the bed delivered to my local store and then picked it up. I was very pleased with the bed over all. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it was a little difficult to put together. In one step the screws didn't line up but it was not bad. It took about 4 hours to put together. The ladders are also kinda small. In all, my daughter is extremely happy with the bed and it is very sturdy.

I read the reviews and bought it. One scratch that you can't even see in the desktop. Other than that, it is exactly what it says. My husband and oldest son put it together in less that 2 hours for our 10 year old. He is in Bed Heaven. I swore I would never own another bunk bed because changing the sheets is such a pain but he's old enough now to do most of the work himself. His room is so tiny this study area is perfect and has enough room to put his dresser under there also.
We are ALL very happy with this purchase and bought the full size mattress recommended for this bed. We are pleased with the mattress, too.

I am so impressed with this bed. There is only one thing that is not GREAT on this bed so I will tell you now and get it out of the way. Since the stairs are metal, they hurt your feet a little when climbing but I'm sure there is some after market product that can help.
Now to the good stuff. I bought this bed for my son and wanted to put it together before our housewarming so that his friends could see it. It's a hit, everyone loves it and they cant believe the price. It is so strong. There were about 5-6 pre-teen boys on top of it all at once and a lot of climbing up and down and the bed still stands as if it were never touched. There is only slight shake, mostly when climbing and the bed is very high. Anyone 4'10" and under does not need to bend down at all to get under it.
Putting it together is a long hard task and requires two people, (one to hold pieces while the other screws them in). It's not required but I recommend having a hand held power screw driver with hex bits. The instructions are pretty clear especially if you are used to buying build it yourself furniture.
Long story short, this bed will not disappoint. Great buy!

I bought this for my teenage daughter. She loves it. The fact that it is a full instead of a twin is even better. Took me and my daughter approx. 2 hours to put together. Instructions are very easy to read and assembly was very easy. One thing - you might check measurements first. We have a ceiling fan that comes really close to the bed. We have switched it to off until we can take it out and put just a light in since she doesn't really use the fan much anyway. The frame is very sturdy. We bought a 6" spa foam mattress - which she loves. Great space saver - with the desk and all the room underneath the loft for other things. You cannot beat the price. I have seen other loft beds that were more expensive with cheaper quality and some of the same quality that were much more expensive. We shopped around quite a bit and this was definitely the best bang for the buck. Would definitely reccomend this product.

The bed was as described and easy to set up with two people. We bought two for a room my son's share and they couldn't be happier. There's still plenty of space to maneuver around the room and it definitely gives the room a more open feel.

Easy to put together, sturdy construction & loved

We purchased two of these beds for our daughters (an 8 yr old & 10 yr old). We only had one small dent in the one frame, nothing too noticeable and did not detract from the appearance or assembly. The bolt holes lined up fine, not perfect, but if you loosened the other bolts in the particular area you were working on, they all fit fine, then you just had to tighten them back up again. These beds were no problem for me to assemble by myself, the girls helped me with the stringer clips and spacers so they felt they helped. The kids absolutely love the beds and they are sturdy enough that I, a 245lb man, can crawl on top to make the beds without the bed shaking much. I trust and would recommend this bed in a heart beat to anyone looking for a loft bed. There will be plenty of room between the top of the bed and a 8' ceiling too, a concern I had. I hope this helps any future buyers ease their mind when ordering.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my daughter. It only took about 2 to 3 hours to assemble. The bed looks really good, very sturdy and well built, everything was well labeled. The only tool required was an allen wrench which was provided. One person can assemble it but much easier with two. My daughter was my assist. She is so excited. Highly recommend this loft bed

Assembly a couple of alignment problems

During installation a couple, not a lot, of the holes had alignment problems. On a metal item this is more difficult to deal with in some ways and easier than wood in others. Only one time did I need to deform slightly a bar to get it to fit. Other than that assembly issue the bed went together smoothly, the instructions were as easy to follow as any of that nature, don't skip steps and everything works well. There were two of us assembling the bed and that makes it much easier.
The bed is extremely sturdy, the base frame is amazingly well thought out for stability and structure. Almost every member adds to the stability even those that seem to be merely functional (the peg board for instance). My son is pretty husky and the bed didn't even flex as he climbed it plus he declared it the "coolest bed ever".
So aside from the extra difficulty assembling due to minor alignment errors this would get a five star rating.

It took me and my son several hours to build it. I wish it would have said that all the labeling of the letters of each piece go on what would be the inside of the bed. Cause it fits together both ways and than later when you go to put another piece in it won't connect correctly. That alone took us 20+ mins. to figure out and switch it. But after it's all put together it looks awesome. I can fit so much stuff under it like toys, TV and etc. we brought in a glider seat from outside that we were going to have to store for the winter and he uses it as a seat to play video games. It does move a little when he climbs the ladder but nothing that I worry about. Plus having the full size vs. the twin size mattress gives him lots of room to grow in it.

This bed far exceeded my expectations. It is sturdy and solid - - the metal is thick and not chintzy looking. This is a quality loft. The bed doesn't wobble as you climb on it. It is very comfortable. The first night I slept on it with my grandaughter. My only recommendation would be to invest in a good firm mattress. The mattress I purchased was not the best, but regardless the bed was still comfy. It looks great assembled. Speaking of assembly - WOW SO EASY. The directions are awesome and easy to follow. I assumed I needed two people to assemble the bed. I actually assembled it by myself! Although, two people may have made the assembly go more quickly, I was able to do it alone in about two hours. The bed, in the packaging, is extremely heavy and could not be carried into the house as a singular unit, so I carried it in piece by piece.
