I'm taking a class on-line to learn more about how to use the manual settings but this camera takes great pictures when it is set on the automatic setting. I love it. Best camera I ever used and it's so easy to transfer pictures to my computer.

I purchase this camera for my daughter. She wanted one similar to mine - Canon DSLR 60D but didn't want to spend that much money. Camera works great and she seems to like it. She has only had it for a couple of weeks. Pictures are clear and captures the kids in action very good. Great for a step up from the point and shoot cameras.. Light weight in comparison to my DSLR 60D with a lot of the same functions.

It's an outstanding camera. Has all the features that professional Photographers use and the pictures are amazing. The come Professional. I bought this camera 2 days ago. & fell in love instantly. The pictures come out clear as can be & i have a 3 year old who i take tons of pictures of & i can get pictures of him outside running around & the come out clear as an be no blurriness in them at all. & i was extremely happy about the easy to work quality of it not hard at all to learn how to work.. I highly reccommend this camera.

This camera takes wonderful photos. This camera has a lot of features. You can put this camera on auto and use it as a point and shoot for beginners, and when you get more advanced you can switch to the advanced features where you have more control over the shots you are taking, i.e. control over exposure, light, aperture/field of view, etc. Comes with an awesome standard zoom with image stabilization which helps reduce fuzzy images if you happen to move a bit.
It was on sale when I bought it so I saved about $200 buying it on the Walmart site and that is sweeeet.

I started with Minolta XG-7 35mm film SLR many years ago. Learning the ISO-(ASA)/Aperture/Shutter speed triangle is very slow when you have to develop the film to see what you have done. This camera is automatic for beginners and has manual for more experienced photo-buffs. But most of all, you can see your picture right after the shot. Keep or delete and move-on. I have attached this camera to my telescope and am currently using it for super-zoom terrestrial shots. I took a shot of a license plate at 136 yards (125m/400 ft) and it almost filled the screen on the camera. It was perfectly clean, clear and focused. I love it.
