Perfect for what it's intended to be

First thing to understand: this is NOT a replacement to a multi-speaker home theater system. The truth is, there IS no replacement for one of those.
What the soundbar is intended to be is an enhancement without the inconvenience of wires and receiver ... there isn't even a dongle required.
I bought this when I bought my Samsung LED and Blu Ray for the living room. Since I already have the aforementioned home theater system in my Man Cave ... and since my wife HATES wires ... I figured this would be perfect for the living room.
It is.
I get the dynamic effects of movies, I get clear voices and I get the added bonus of it linking to the TV and Blu Ray since it's the same brand ... so one remote controls everything (also, if you configure your cable box properly, you can use your cable remote to adjust the volume on the soundbar)
Ultimately, you DO get what you paid for:
just realize that you are NOT paying for a home theater system

I just returned a $400.00 soundbar to a big box electronic store because it was horrible. It had tons of problems and after explaining everything that was going wrong with it, I was told by customer support that it had to be sent back and looked at by an "expert". I sad no thank you and returned it. I saw this Samsung soundbar at Walmart and was very impressed. Got it home and it was very quick and easy to hook up. We also have a Samsung flat screen and blu ray player that we love. The sound is AMAZING! The sound is crisp and clear, the subwoofer is great. I listened to music and heard every little detail. Movies are wonderful to watch and listen to. Even on a simple TV show, someone on the show closed a refridgerator and you can hear the boom of it. Video games sound great too! I love this soundbar!

For the money this is ok. If you're playing it up to 7/10ths only, you'll be just fine. It's clean and clear. If you want to crank it up to 8-10 10ths, spend more money elsewhere. For movies, TV, etc, it's just great. Not for louder music.

I've had this for about 3 week and couldn't be happier. At first I didn't think it had enough bass, but I found out it has more than enough. When watching certain movies, it really rocks the room. I really like the different sound modes and it looks great!
It was very easy to hook up, I didn't even bother with the instructions. I have a Vizio set and no problems with compatibility. It's even got a cool night light when the system is turned off.
For the money, it can't be beat.

I thought this product was very good, "as adverstised". Very satisfied with the extra volume and sound quality. Understand that it is what it is: it is a sound bar... Extremely easy to setup, just plug and play. syncs great with my Samsung TV.
Only reason I didnt go 5 stars is that I would have liked it to level the sound volume better. Still has a few highs and lows in the volume. Over all I would recommend it.

I am not sure why the negative reviews here. I am very satisfied with this purchase. With regards to complaints about this not getting very loud, I still haven't been able to turn it up all the way without upsetting my neighbor... ok and I finally did and it is plenty loud. It won't blow your eardrums, but it's just a soundbar.
With that said, it is only a soundbar. A few years back, I had an $800 Polk surround sound system. It was awesome! But for my needs now, this is perfect. It is not surround sound though! It is a sound bar but it sounds 10x better than my flat screen speakers.
Pros: Small footprint. Easy set up. Good sound. Attractive looks. Attaches to wall and subwoofer is wireless and can be put in a corner with no wires.
Cons: No EQ. Minimal inputs, still trying to figure out how to hook up my iPod without a receiver.
One note, Dolby and DTS sound so much better than PCM. If using the optical input, make sure you have it hooked up correct. For example, I can't get my Samsung TV to put out Dolby signals except for specific conditions. So I hooked my input up to my cable box nd for blu-rays I switch it to my blu-ray player. Its a bit of a hassle but believe me, it's totally worth it.
Good luck finding the right system for you.

The Speakers a a huge upgrade from just the plain TV speakers. They will not go extremely loud but they make watching movies a lot more fun. We already had and LCD 1080p samsung TV and this works great with it.
The only Con is that the frequency that the signal the wireless sub is sent interferes with our internet. So we can't use the suround sound when streaming Netflix on our Wii. Still a great value when watching Blue Ray DVD's.

I'm not sure why the other guys didn't like this product. It's a great value for the dollar. Easy to set up, small footprint. For someone who is looking for better-than-standard-TV sound, this is fantastic! Not quite the full surround sound experience, but for the money, ease of set up and NO WIRES it's fantastic!
