I bought this as a Christmas gift for my 10 year old step son and he was ecstatic :) and thats putting it lightly. He was so happy he did a dance when he took it out the box!...lol. I guess this is a pretty popular game and kids his age love it. So based on his reaction...I would definately recommend it. ;)

All of the Lego games are great action/adventure experiences that are kid and adult friendly. They are easy to learn, easy to play and at the same time offer good challenges. The characters are varied and well thought out. It's hard to choose from the many games available. I do recommend that you wait to buy them until the price drops from the usual $49.99 to a more respectable $20. When first released they can be a bit over priced.

I bought this for my great nephew who is 8. He got 10 other xbox games, including kinect games for Christmas but the only one he wants to play is this game. There is a lot of action, a lot of thought necessary and a lot of different scenarios available so the game does not become dull. I even played it and enjoyed the game. It was a great value. If you are debating which xbox game to get an 8-12 boy, I would recommend this one.
