Coleman Coleman Max LED Lantern
The Coleman Max LED Lantern holds you in good stead during outdoor adventures and serves as a foolproof light source. Ok people , the lantern was shipped by Fed Ex and arrived early. The box and contents were in pristine order. The lantern was neither too big or too small , it was just right ! Four batteries were required , which is good , who wants to use more then 4 batteries ? Batteries are not cheap. This lantern was used for inside the tent lighting and out by the cooking area and for short jaunts around the campsite. It is very bright ! After 3 campouts battery still emits a powerful light. The light intensity is variable and if used conservatively lasts a long time. You can't go wrong with the quality and the price ! Very good lantern !

I bought this for my husband, who like all men, LOVE lanterns (and flashlights)! It was his favorite birthday present and it even won out over the much anticipated: The Zombie Survival Guide. : ) *Even my dad, who has something sarcastic to day about ALL gifts, thought it was terrific and requested one for his birthday. Bottom line: this lantern is a great product; very bright; and a necessity for any household. (Our son even uses it to aid him in taking out the trash - in the scary, unknown darkness.)

I love this lantern. it is very sturdy and does exactly what it describes. I wish it were a little brighter but considering the cost, it is excellent value for the money. no lantern is going to replicate your real lighting during a blackout, but this one does a decent job!

This lantern works very well in lighting up the area around you. I bought two of them to use in case of a power outage at home, and I'm very pleased with them. My wife has used hers walking her mom home (she lives across the street from us) at night and she said the lantern really lit up the sidewalk for the both of them.

Nice latern, built well, untill we turned it on. The Bulb/light is terrible, very dissapointed. Your making a light guys... why bother if it barely lights anything up. Bought 2 returned 2.

I chose this light because it uses D cell batteries which last longer than the smaller C or AA batteries. I also like the idea of being able to adjust the amount of light. We haven't had any emergencies yet where the lamp will be used but we have tested it in different locations of our home and they put out enough light to see and safely move about during a power outage. We purchased 2 lights.

During power outages of few hours to as long as a week during Sandy, I always used kerosine lamps and candles to provide adequate light to be able to even eat dinner not to mention cooking it. Kerosine lamps provide good light but they are polluting when the house is sealed particularly during winter time and they are inconvenient to move around and risky too. The battery operated lantern with similar lighting capability is secure, convenient and non-polluting. This is my first battery-operated lantern but I think I will buy a couple more even though I am not using them for camping, etc.

This review is based more on Walmart's poor care than the actual product. I really liked the lantern. It's a lot larger than I expected. However, all 6 lanterns that I ordered had mold growing in the boxes & lanterns. I could clearly see that he boxes had been wet at some point. Why didn't anyone in the Walmart warehouse notice this? All 6 lanterns were returned.

I bought this a few months ago and used it for the first time during "Sandy" when we had a power
outage. It worked great for 2 hours and then just went dead. I tried putting in new batteries. Still didn't work. I went to my hardware store thinking I needed a new bulb but they told me it was an LED bulb and it lasts forever and couldn't be replaced.
Coleman is usually a good brand. I guess I just got a lemon,

We had bourght another lanturn,by Dorcy and a glob whent out ,still under warrenty walmart honored it well,we got this one. it is a full nobrainer.Put in batteries and turn it on ..thats it.
We have 2 flashlight over 220 lumens each,and this lanturn was right in there with them at a real 190 lumens,no dought man.no cons.
