Got this because the house we moved into didn't have built in microwave. Looked and looked before I bought this one before just saying lets get this over with. So far the only complaint is you wake the whole house up if you use it night because the door doesn't shut very gracefully. It's a minor complaint otherwise it has worked fine for two years.

Good looking unit. Lots of power. Inverter technology does indeed reduce cooking times.
BUT... unit is only a couple of weeks old, and has already quit on me three times. First time was at full power for 8 minutes for baked potatoes. Last two times was on reduced power for warming and slow cooking items. Unit just stops. Have to reset the clock; fortunately the rest of the basic programming is OK.
I'd recommend the unit, but watch for problems (caveat emptor, I guess). This one's going to be exchanged.

I use the microwave a lot, I like the sensor system for the reheat, just one press and you don't have to worry, the microwave has a large convenient plate, the appearance is great, the only thing I don't like is the finger print on the glass door every time you open the door.

Needs Replacing After One Year!

We have had this microwave for less than one year and need to replace it. When you shut the door it does not latch correctly and the microwave will not turn on. You need to keep opening and slam the door until it does. A microwave should last more than a year, especially at this price. What happened to the days when a microwave lasted ten or more years when the technology was brand new? I know the next microwave we purchase will have an old fashioned handle!

Design Flaw

Alright I purchased this microwave because we have a similar one at my workplace. Soon after I bought this model (4-5 months) the door would not shut and the microwave would act as if it did not have any power. The one at my work had the same problem soon after. The problem is where the door latches to. That part is being held by a piece of sheet metal that is too thin for contiued use, it eventually bent back and would not work. I tried straighening it out and it worked for a few weeks. This was true on both models the one shown above and and another that has a large knob in the middle. This is by far the worst microwave I've ever come across. I would avoid Panasonic microwaves for the time being.

bought this oven in 2010, used it daily, but average home use--nothing unusual--the previous microwave oven I had lasted over 12 years. this one has a 'fatal error' (H98) after less than 3 years--called Panasonic--they stated to take to repair facility (nearly 100 miles from my home) where it could be repaired (at my expense)--the 5 year warranty on the magnetron does not apply to this failure...
I purchased based upon Panasonic's good reputation for quality and the nice appearance of this oven.
I would recommend finding another brand.

Liked the look and description. It lasted about a year and worked fine and then this morning while heating some food, it started stinking & burning. Total waste and worthless for the price.
How could I recommend this to anyone?

Valve(I could have bought a $75 one that probably would have lasted longer.

I just replaced my Panasonic microwave with this one. The old one was almost identical to this one and I had it for 12 years!! It served a family of six consistently with no issues. I didn't even think about changing brands. This is an excellent product!

Only had this microwave for a few weeks and so far it's been great. It's really easy to operate and looks good. Defrosts better than any microwave I've ever had and pops great pop corn. I needed a timer and many didn't have the timer. Good buy for the price.

We bought this stupid microwave over a year ago. We picked it because of the size and price, thinking it would be a good product. It sucked.
We have a family of six and use it daily.
We just replaced it yesterday with a cheaper microwave from Walmart.
The Panasonic Microwave had door problems. It wouldn't shut properly. You had to slam it to get it to close. Also, it would power off whenever it decided it wanted too. You had to unplug it and then plug it back in to get it to work..... It acted like it was possessed.
It was too loud and very bulky. I have to admit it looked nice...but that was it.
Save your money, buy something else!!

So far, we love our new Panasonic micro. Meets our expectations & works great. To date, we've used it mainly for reheating. Rated durability a bit lower only b/c we've not had it long enough to know how it will hold up. Nice looking, very modern/sleek design. Fits perfectly where we intended. For those looking for a micro that is more 'tall' on the interior, I will note here that this micro is 'shorter' in height than our last one. Hubby's 32 oz/ tall coffee mug doesn't quite fit in the new micro. Isn't a problem, this mug is the 'tallest' item we've ever attempted to put in any micro. Wouldn't use the micro for a turkey so the size is great for us! : ) A family member has a black Panasonic w/ Inverter that's a lot larger. I prefer the 'look' of ours, & that ours doesn't consume such a huge space. Very pleased w/ our purchase!
