Set up troubles, weak range

I made a mistake in the set up process and couldn't get back to the screen that I needed to. I ended up talking with a bored and annoyed customer service rep and the whole set up process took me close to an hour. I have set up several routers before so I am not a novice. Once it finally got working, I had trouble with connection/speed especially on my phone. Returning it tomorrow.

It was one of the inexpensive routers, but it gets the job done! My old router only downloaded at 15 Mbps...this one at 28Mbps...so i am a happy camper!

I bought this router in November and it died in March 5 months. There is no warranty. No support> I don't know why it failed it just did. Up till the moment of death it functioned well.

I've owned this router for about 10 days now. So, it works great. No issues except one.
Good reception in all places in the house.
I bought this, since my Linksys wireless router stopped working after about 5 years great usage.
I had good reception in the garage with the Linksys router, so I cheked and it's the same with this D-Link router too.
One problem is with my Microsoft Lync "soft" phone client. This needs to connect to my office network Lync server. With my old Linksys router, this was connected with my office server all the time. But, this D-Link router drops the connection every 5 minuites and reconnects. Reconnect take 30 seconds to 1 minute. This is a problem for me, but this is the only problem. But for someome, wsho doesn't connect this software, it shouldn't be a problem.

Easy to setup. Like most consumer routers it is faced with overheating problems and needs to be placed in an area with good airflow. This router was excellent for the first couple years. Now it barely keeps wireless devices connected. Performance degrades after that. Look elsewhere if you have more than 2 or three wireless devices. Also the range is very limited.

I ordered this router for my mom and shipped it to her. She had to have help setting it up. She is 77 but she's a little tech savvy. She is up and running with her iPad. We have a blast face timing each other!

Looking for an inexpensive way to provide WiFi in my home so my son can use his XBox live. Compact and easy to set up. Great customer service on the product (much needed by a novice like me). This was on sale for $29.99 and free shipping. My router was old and sometimes had to be restarted. This one is faster and I've had no problems with it. Good signal. It, also, takes up much less space than the old one. Setup couldn't have been easier. I'm happy!

I am a complete novice when it comes to installing any kind of computer equipment. I purchased this wireless router because I recently got new internet service for my desktop and I wanted my wired modem to become wi-fi to accommodate my family's smart phones and gaming devices. I read the reviews before my purchase and felt confident this product would meet our needs and not be too difficult to install. For installation, I followed the set up wizard. I did run into a slight problem in completing the installation, but that could be because I was also setting up a wireless USB connection in my desktop. My USB program is actually the one that helped me finish the wireless router installation. For some reason, when I was running the D-Link set up, the box asking for the router PIN number never came up. Therefore the installation would not complete. But once I was able to get that PIN number entered, it has worked like a charm. Sometimes the internet connectivity stalls and my internet explorer has to restart, but for the most part I am happy with the way it works. The price was very reasonable and shipping was fantastic. My router was delivered within 2 days of ordering it online, and that was standard shipping. I would recommed this product to anyone needing a basic household wi-fi set up.

Recently purchased 2 of these - one for my son in San Jose, Ca. It worked after help in installing by Tech Support. So I purchased another one to replace my old Airlink router in my home in UC which was intermittently malfunctioning. After installing, found it very slow. Called Tech Support twice before it finally worked as expected. Hoping it stays this way.
