I did my research on this bike before I bought it. I ride my bike in to work just about every day, so I need it to be reliable. Most of the complaints I read had to do with the directions for putting the bike together, so I asked my local Walmart to put it together before I picked it up. Problem solved.
I like the bike. It's nice to be able to sit upright and ride. It's good to be able to put a basket on the side. It is comfortable and the parts seem relatively sturdy. My one concern is that the chain does not always move smoothly when shifting gears. At present, the chain will fall off when shifting the front gear while going up-hill; however, I think this may be rectified by making some adjustments to the derailer. Overall, I would say this bike is a good bike for a good price.

This product was shipped without the peddles or the front wheel quick release. It took another week to get those parts and to be able to assemble the bike. After putting air in the back tire, the bike was sitting in the room and the back tire suddenly popped w/o weight on it. The bike shop guy, who repaired it, said the tube was "probably not installed properly". Cost me another $8.00 (tube&Labor) to fix it. The product is very nice although I am not sure yet whether the seat height, with the shock absorber, can go low enough for my height (5'9"). I am going to try it but think I may have to get a seat post w/o the shock absorber to get the seat low enough to be comfortable. WalMart should be talking about QC with the distributor of this product. I think the pricing was very good. I like the product. Customer Service was very good when I called in the shipping problem.

Purchased this bicycle based on the reviews of what people were saying. Was not sure if the reviews were real or staged by sales people at Schwinn. Ordered on line and had shipped to my home in just less than one week. I am not very good mechanically and was still able to assemble the bike enough to be able to ride to local bike shop for finish work. For free they made some adjustments for me to include putting the seat bar in front wards and the handle bars on correct. They said I had both on backwards. I have ridden the bike since day one and look forward to riding each day. Shifting, steering and braking is all very smooth. I had test rode a bike for over 2x what this bike costs and cannot tell the difference. I am 6'0" tall and the bike is perfect for my size. At 67 years old and not having a bike for 25+ years, I really appreciate the hybrid style, (which I had never heard of until very recently). It's a combo between a road bike and mountain bike. The tires are wider than my previous road bike from when I was in my 40's.

Hi, so far this bike has meet my expectations. Got lucky, picked it up online and had it delivered in the the box. Front brake was a pain, but finally got it right. Gears were set up great, no adjustment needed. I only go 7 /2 miles to work. This was the first time i rode it home. Made it easy, 45 minutes.
Get a gel seat cover. it's worth it. Good investment. I'm ordered an electric front drive system Can get up to 35 mph. Hope this bike will take it. There are front fork supports available.

Great bike and good experience with Walmart. The bike was shipped quickly and required some assembly (took about an hour). I had to take a little time to "center" the tires on the rim before fully inflating.
I ride this bike to work about 7.5 miles and it seems like it's going to be a good bike for that purpose. Light-weight frame, solid shifting, fenders, and rack make it a comfortable, practical bike for commuting.

I love this bike because it is very light and loaded with features. It has a slick design to it while other cyclist gave some good review as well. I think Walmart keeps good selection of bikes for everyone and very affordable.

I ordered this bike online form Walmart with the Allen Explorer bike trailer. I live in town close to shopping but a little farther then I want to walk carrying things. I wanted to save gas by not driving my pickup truck for short trips.
Shipping was just a few days for in store shipping, less then a week. When the bike arrived I asked for in store assembly which was vary fast, about 2 hours and they called to tell me the bike was ready.
When the store called to tell me the bike was ready they said that the front fender on the bike had been damaged in shipping but that I could come pick up the bike and they would order a new fender. I went to the store and picked up the bike but the trailer hadn't arrived yet.
About 2 days later, the trailer arrived and I went to the store to pick that up. While I was there they told me there had been a problem ordering the fender for the bike and they needed me to bring it back so they could get the model and serial number from the bike to order the correct fender.
The damage to the fender was miner and mostly hidden by the front fork and brake, so I asked if I could simply have some money refunded on the bike instead of a new fender. The store agreed and gave me a 25$ gift card.
The bike is well made and nice to ride. I am 6' 3" and 280 lbs. and the bike handles the weight.
The bike has 21 speeds but I've found I only use the 7 mid range speeds. #unless I'm going down hill# The gears shift smoothly and the gear indicators are easy to read. Shift levers are easy to operate.
The handle bars tend to rock from side to side vary slightly but not enough to cause me much concern. But may bother a more serous rider. The problem may be corrected by simply tightening the bolt below the handle bars, I haven't tried that yet.
But all and all I'm happy with the bike.

This bike arrived 2 days ahead of time. I had to assemble the seat. Mount the handle bars, front wheel and the pedals.. Minor adjustment to the front breaks. I ditched the fenders. No need to consult the manual. It was assembled and fine-tuned in 1 ½ hours. It rides better than my Trek or Schwinn Voyager. I’m very happy with it and the cost.

Front wheel had a spoke ripped out of it when I unpacked it. Couldn't be fixed. I was ok with that. {you don't need all the spokes}
Rear wheel wasn't perfectly round, but I was ok with that. It was slight enough that at my slow pace, it wasn't noticeable.
3rd time I road it however, it stopped going into 2nd gear; front set. It would only go into 1st or 3rd gear. It was perfect before that. I have no idea why it went through such a drastic change?
Other than that, it's a great looking, and well built frame. No scratches or dents. I was very sad when I made decision to return it.
I think for $250, you should be able to ride it for at least 1 season before needing an $80 tune-up.

This is a great value. The bike is built very well and solid. Lots of nice features and adjustments. The only thing I don't like about this bicycle is a little side to side movement in the seat post shock.
For some reason I cannot get it to stay completely still. Maybe it is a defect in the mechanism. Anyway it is very slight and does not interfere with control or safety. I would recommend this bicycle for any older person who wants an upright riding position. I am 66 years old and have long legs. The bike fits my body and riding style nicely. It's also very nice looking with a great paint job. Nice bike for the money. I've seen more expensive bikes that are not this nice.

I'm 6'2" & the bike is a breeze for me to ride in the city.
It is an exceptional bike for the price. Weight of the bike will be close to 30lbs. I'm a tall rider with 34" inseam & this bike fits pefectly for me.
Planning to add some panniers & LED front/rear lights so I can keep riding this through the summer.
This bike needs assembly so you make sure you assemble it in your local wally store.
I've been riding this for the past 2 days & I should say i've put on close to 20miles on it already..
Need to wait & watch on how long those tires last

Excellent bike for the money. Went to numerous bike shops and retailers before purchasing this bike. Bike shops are probably better for more serious riders, but for the average person riding around the neighborhood, this bike is excellent. I had to buy on-line as none of the local stores had this bike which means that you need to assemble yourself. Only things you needs to put on are the seat, front wheel, pedals and one attachment of the handlebars. Instructions are not very good as they are written for multiple models with different wheels, brakes, etc. The most difficult thing to do was to get the brakes set properly, which took about 15 minutes to do.

Inside my box I received a card that stated free assembly. I did not get this. I also had to drive to a store over 40 miles away to get my product when there was a local store on 10 miles away from me. I live in Montesano, Washington with a local store in nearby Aberdeen, I had to drive to Lacey.

Great bike for the price...It took me about 3 hrs. to assemble the bike. Really rides very well. The bike weights 37 lbs...(Weighted myself and the bike minus my weight using a bathroom scale). The fenders, rack, and handlebars were steel (used a magnet) which most likely added the extra 6 or 7 pounds of weight.. It is a big bike really built for touring which is what I wanted. The ride was smooth and the shocks worked really well. My biggest issue was the the seat post.. It sticks out about 3 to 4 inches higher because of the damper. Cant get it any lower unless you change to a regular seatpost. I'm 6 feet tall and I'd like it all the way down On the whole, I love the bike and I like the way it rides..

My main objective was to get an upgrade over the first bike that I bought, a $79.00 special .
This Bike is good value for the money and it rides comfortable and perfect for my 10-20 mile routes around the neighborhood. It is sturdy and I like the easy shifters that can be done with just my thumbs, while biking.
I am 55 years old, 5 ` 10" tall and weigh 229 pounds. The bike had an easy glide to it and it was a nice experience . It is a sharp looking bike and My wife and brother both complimented same.
I prefer wider tires, but the ones on same are adequate.
I am looking forward to putting in many miles riding same.
Walmart did assemble same after I called and requested it,that is their policy ,and they did a fine job.I can`t wait for my next ride.
