The fire pit cover on the ad picture is 35" by at least 12" and the merchandise I received was 35" BY 4" The description does not give you the height only width. I purchased this item last year and it was the same as one pictured

In the photo, the bottom ("skirt") of the cover looks to be about 12 inches long. On the cover I received, it is only 3 inches long. I can barely stretch it to fit around the top of my firepit--and it is just an average size firepit, about 30 inches wide. The fabric and construction are good, but not the size. I will be returning it.

The cover looks good and seems to be sturdy enough to with stand all weather, but the image is deceiving the cover is a bit smaller than it looks and does not fit the size mentioned properly. I figured it would fit my fire pit with no problem, but it was a tight fit and does not cover to the ground. Would be great for a smaller pit, but not a large one.

This product is 35" in diameter and fits on our 30" fire pit. There is elastic around the bottom that holds it on. And FYI, based on the picture, I expected it to be longer. But it is actually only 4" in height. Still does the job. Good quality material.

This works well to keep the rain out of my fire pit. I didn't measure, however, and it's too short for my fire pit. It looks like vanilla frosting on the top of a chocolate cupcake. Perhaps I should enhance the cover to make it look like I did it on purpose:-)

For the price you won't find anything close to this, but keep in mind the size firepit its rated for. You may think it'll stretch a little bit, but it won't. I should have read the spec's more carefully, but it was easily returned and the replacement was still markedly cheaper than anything available at lowe's or home depot.

Beware of the dimensions

Overall, this cover is excellent. The fabric is a canvas material and appropriately thick. I didn't realize that my fire pit came with a cover until days after I purchased this one; so I returned this one. The only reason I decided not to keep it was b/c the cover didn't cover the legs as it shows on the picture. The cover that came with my pit was of a slightly lower quality, but the entire pit was covered. So if you have a larger fire pit it may only cover the bowl of the fire pit and not the bowl and the legs. I think my pit is 33" or 35". If thats not a big deal to you, then definitely get this, you wont be disappointed.

I purchased this cover for a fire pit my family bought me for Father's Day. It was purchased using the "pick up at store" option online. On my way home from work I stopped by Walmart, gave them the reciept I'd been e-mailed, and left with the cover in about five minutes total. Easy as could be and the cover fits my fire pit great.

I purchased the BH&G firepit, and belatedly thought of a cover. This was inexpensive, and I wasn't sure it would be good quality or would fit properly. I shouldn't have worried. It's perfect! It fits snugly over the firepit and does the job beautifully, keeping rainwater out while looking neat and clean.

I bought this for a Landmann Big Sky Firepit. It is basically 24 inches wide, plus about 4" for the outer handles, and about 12" deep. So this seemed like it would fit the bill at 30" wide and 4" deep.
The Landmann firepit has decorative cutouts on the side of the firepit. I was hoping to at least partially cover those. No luck.
The cover easily goes over the top and the side handles, and that is about it. The cutouts are 100% exposed.
It looks nice and I'll probably give it a try for the season. Maybe it'll work and water won't get into the cutouts. For sure water will not get into the top, so it depends really if water will get blown into the cutouts, or if the runoff seeps down the sides and into the pit.
At $10 it is worth a try. I almost bought a 36" wide grill cover, but it was 24" deep and thought it would be too bulky and not look as nice. In hindsight that might have been a better option, and it was only $5 in the store.
Summary - great for a small, shallow firepit. Might work on the deeper landmann's, but will not be perfect. But, in my opionion a better option then the $30-$40 firepit covers.

Bought this cover to cover my fire pit. It is a very thick cover. Was outside during last weeks hail storms and did not tear! Looks great, is durable and inexpensive - great deal!
