My initial impression is positive. After 3-4 hours moderate to heavy use cleaning up storm damage, I'm happy and pleasantly surprised that cutting performance exceeded the <= 1.5" diameter rating. The only caveat considering this model is that the bypass feature, in increasing leverage/cutting power, means the handles have to travel a wider (albeit much easier) arc to cut the same diameter branch as conventional loppers.

I like this pair and they did a good job. I don't have lots of strength in my hands but I was able to use these on some pretty good size limbs and rose bushes.
