Although the Pacer performs well for its capabilities, I find the screen size a bit small. The keyboard, though seemingly normal size if difficult to type with. I understand for the price the limitations would exist, but I also forgot that using discs was not possible.
I would recommend it for someone only needing email, facebook, etc. But for a working or studying lap top, might not be comfortable.

Functional but not Flawless

Overall this is a great netbook that I would recommend for the price I bought it for. I got this Acer Blue 10.1" AO532H-2527 Netbook PC with Intel Atom N450 Processor & Windows 7 Starter, 160 GB Hard Drive, 1 GB RAM for about $340, including a USB DVD Drive, Case, Mouse, Earphones/Microphone, USB port and tax and 2 day shipping and handling. I think the cost of the PC was $248. Below I listed my review in sections. Although some negative things are listed, I still gave a high rating because not all the negative things are important to me.
*SPEED:
I was able to have a Firefox window open with 4-7 tabs, Windows Media Player playing a song, a Facebook game pulled up on one of the tabs, a Microsoft Word Document, an Excel Document and Google Sidebar, along with the included Acer Webcam. I did not experience any delays. I even had several youtube videos pulled up, mostly 3-10 minutes long videos. The internet and programs did not appear any slower than a regular computer, actually it was incredibly fast, I loved it. Certain things it could not handle, such as uploading a 3.5 MB photo on Flicker, or loading a full screen hour long video on Vimeo. *Note, I uninstalled Mcafee and installed Avast for free. Also, it was very slow until I connected to the internet and restarted the computer, 54 updates, works great now.

Very lacking here. I could not figure out how to change the screensaver or background, which I've been told you cannot do with Windows 7 Starter. Didn't bother me though, because you can pull up a resizeable photo on Google Sidebar, causing it to look as though you have your own background. So far I can use all the functionalities of Windows 7.

The keyboard is slick and flat, I prefer a raised keyboard so I can feel the keys. So far, this is my biggest complaint. The mousepad is very rough and sensitive. Sometimes when I scroll or click it goes wild. Fortunately the included wireless mouse fixes that problem. 3 USB ports, 2 on the left, 1 on the right, 5-1 card reader all work great, no problems. Keyboard is a great size, I have big hands for a girl, and I could barely tell the difference from a regular keyboard. *Note: Sometimes my palms touch the touchpad while typing, very annoying, but rare that it happens.
Does not come with DVD drive, but no netbooks do. The USB DVD drive that came with it is extremely easy to use. All the ports are very snug, feels like they don't fit, but they do.
Speakers are on the bottom, lowering performance, because you have to turn it upside to hear it well. The netbook in the case with the charger, usb port/cable, microphone/headphones and wireless mouse, was so light, probably not even 2.5 pounds. And the ease with which I could unzip the case, pull out the netbook, turn it on and be surfing the net all within 60 seconds was amazing. So small and quiet that I pulled it out and turned it on in class and the girl beside me didn't even notice until I showed her.

Great little computer. Bought this for simply presentations, but have found it very useful in other things. Did purchase an external dvd drive online which makes it easier to add the programs I want. Super long battery life, fully charged it is 7 hours life. Would never have to use power cord during a presentation. Previously used a Dell and this outweighs it 100%. Would recommend and would definately purchase another one if needed.

Product performs the way it should. It is better to upgrade the memory because the netbook slows down just a bit after many Windows and virus software upgrades. However, it works fine without the upgrade.The battery last for a long time. It is better to use a headphone if you need to use the speaker. I use it only as a wireless device and it picks up the wireless signals fast. The keys are big enough for typing. Overall, a good netbook product and very good value for the money.

I just bought three of these, one in red, blue and silver for the kids for Christmas. I also bought the bag deal for $15 including earphones, usb hub, and mouse. What great value! I have an older model Acer Aspire notebook, and these are much nicer. They are very sturdy, web ready, and have Windows 7. I didn't realize that these notebooks also have a 6 cell battery which means that they will run for a long time before the battery runs down. I don't think you will find a better deal! For the record, I don't work for Walmart or Acer! LOL...

Great little PC but by all mean by the RAM upgrade. The battery only seems to last about 3hrs so I also ordered the 9 cell if anything like the original I expect it to last 8-10hrs.

this is the best little netbook ive ever had. it runs good for all the things i need to do. even hardcore gaming. had it for 6-8 months now and im sure that this is the best laptop for kids ever! the only thing bad about it is that you cant change the backround image and im planning to upgrade that soon. Also im planning to upgrade the ram to 2 or 4 gigs. Overall, BEST NETBOOK EVER!

I already had one of these and love it, so when I saw that I could get one with the same features and even updated to Windows 7 and longer battery life at less than I paid for mine, I jumped at it. In fact, I bought two - one for each daughter. And they are loving them, too.

Great little machine. Takes a little getting used to its abilities since I'm used to my 3ghz monster desktop. The unit is definately portable and useful. It has been able to handle almost everything I've thrown at it. Though I admit I won't be getting rid of my desktop anytime soon. A good value as a companion PC. Definately cost effective as opposed to a bigger laptop, which by my standards would still be limited.

I have had some problems getting my printer hooked up to the computer. I do not like that you can not upload a new screensaver. Other than these things I have loved the computer. It is very easy to use and I have enjoyed it from day one.

This netbook may be better with more ram, it came with 1GB. I figured I'd upgrade to 2GB but if I did I'd void the warranty. I've added ram to laptops before which required removing keyboard but this is much more detailed according to what I read onlint. There's only one slot also.
5 seconds after booting the heat starts, after 5 minutes it's hot enough to burn your lap and the screen dims.
I may have gotten a Lemon.

The first time I bought this computer it was purple, and had all kinds of different choices in it. I like to change my screen savers and desktops often. This does not have the capapbility to change either, nor the ability to download new ones. I keep seeing the same message, this software doesn't support themed downloads, this is concerning screen savers and desktops. I was NOT happy. Other wise, I guess it is a good product. Still working on my opinion of it I had it for about 2 weeks now. (That should tell you something.) I will use this computer at least 3 x a week, about 5 - 7 x each day for work purposes.
