Nintendo Pokemon SoulSilver w/ Pokewalker (DS)
The new Pokmon HeartGold Version and Pokmon SoulSilver Version games inspired by the originals have evolved to include updated graphics and sound as well as intuitive new controls that use the Nintendo DS touch screen. For the first time, players can interact with all their favourite Pokmon outside of battle by selecting the leader from their party to follow behind them on their travels. The classic tales of the Game Boy originals are retold with a bevy of new areas and features. The new Pokathlon is a multiplayer sports festival in which your Pokmon compete against others in Speed, Power, Skill, Stamina, and Jump performance courses. The brand new Pokwalker accessory allows players to bring their favorite Pokmon with them wherever they go.

Thank you Nintendo. I have played Pokemon games my whole life, and every game has far surpassed the game before, and this game is no exception. There are a lot of improvement over Diamond/Pearl, some of them being: a much easier to use menu system, the ability to get Ditto early in the game (essential for breeding), and the reintroduction of the safari zone.
There is a lot of stuff to do in this game, from getting all the gym badges (16!) and catching a plethora of different pokemon in the safari zone, to dominating the Pokathlon and battling with your friends.
I consider myself a power player, so I, with little hesitation, bought the official Pokemon Kanto Guide & National Pokedex for $19.96 at my local Walmart store. This has been an invaluable resource for me and my friends, containing complete move lists, including egg moves and move tutors, item guides, and battle frontier strategies. Hint! Don't be afraid of breeding your pokemon, for you can get some powerful move sets that way.
In all, this game has surpassed any and all of my expectations.

Great remake

I used to play the original Silver to death. I had over 200 or 300 hours of play on it, beat the Elite Four over 150 times, and had over 200 Pokemon caught. Unfortunately, the battery in the cartridge that saves the Game Boy save died, so I lose all of my progress. Decided to buy this on a whim and it is great so far. Right now I have all 8 badges and am training for the Elite Four. I can't wait to visit Kanto again! The Silver/Gold/Crystal series was the best in my opinion and the game really does is justice by keeping to the original story and map and by adding little things that add to the game immensely. Just a fun game to play and bring back the joy I had when I was younger.

My son has several pokemon DS games. He asked for this for Christmas, so I whipped by walmart to pick up the last copy. He has really enjoyed it today. I like the "pokewalker" it came with. It is similar to a pedometer, so he has been running, jumping, riding his bike and being very active trying to "train his pokemon".

i bought two of these over the past year, the first she lost. she wanted another one for christmas, so i bought her another. this game is good for her. she will play quietly for a good period. the price cant be beat. the entertainment for her is wonderful. if she loses this one then i will have to buy another, she also got pokemo gold for christmas either christmas of2009, or for her birthday in 2010.

My granson lives a thousand miles away and when he asked for this pokemon I remember his big brother and cousins playing it or something like it with pokemon in it. Its a good clean game and gives them goals and they have to be respoonsible for their "pokemon" He has constantly played this one and the gold one since last month, he loves them.

One of the better pokemon games made so far. I was hit with nostalgia, remembering the similarities of Pokemon Crystal.

This is the first pokemon game I've played and I really love it. The pokewalker that came with it is a great bonus, you can send your pokemon to it and then go for a walk with it and your pokemon's experience will go up. Great incentive to walk more in the day, haha.
