This is a great well built seat. I've bought some that were cheaper, but they were not built well at all. The chrome hinges are great also. Those plastic hinges on the others I bought just didn't hold up at all. The top is soft and the bottom is made of hard wood. This toilet seat should last me a lot longer that the others. The others were light. This seat is has some weight to it, and is well built. I would buy another one.
