I got two of these for my teen sons and they are very happy with their new beds. The desk area is wonderful and they are sturdy beds. They were pretty quick for them to assemble and not complicated. I would recommend this bed.

I bought this bed for my 17 year old son. We put it together in about an hour and a half. It comes with so many pieces and was over whelming and looks very complicated first, but it turns out to be easier then it looks. It is very sturdy and works really well with his computer screen, keyboard, mouse pad, speakers and a lamp with plenty of room for school books to spare on the work space. We are very happy with this purchase.

We ordered two of these beds (both black) at the same time and had them shipped Site to Store. It took a couple weeks for them to come in which wasn't a big deal but when they came in there was one black and one silver (instead of both black), but we decided to keep them both rather then wait for a new one to be shipped. Both colors look excellent and our son was happier with the silver rather then the black anyway so their mistake worked out for us.
Then comes assembly. If you are someone who has to have step by step instructions I would suggest having someone help you assemble these who is handier. There are about five (5) total steps to the instructions. Step one basically shows you the finished frame and assumes you know what your looking at. I personally just put them to the side and went ahead without them. If you are good with your hands and assembling this isn't a problem because the parts are pretty self explanatory. The instructions are a good reference at best (if not for this I would have given 5 stars).
The first bed took me about 2 hours to assemble and the second took me about an hour. My boy helped me with the second one which didn't necessarily speed things up but it is nice to have a helping hand.
Once assembled these beds are quite sturdy and look nice. Both kids (a 9 yr old girl and an 11 yr old boy) love them. The desk really is a nice feature. We are totally satisfied with these beds and we will be buying another one in the near future.

I purchased two of these for the kids rooms. One a 6 yr old and the other a teenager and they love their room. They each have enough room for homework or just to play. Very easy to build and very strong. Would recommend.

Not too hard to put together and very sturdy once you tighten up all the screws. I quite heavy so be sure to have someone available to help you get it in the house. My son loves it and it definitely gives him a lot more floor space than he had before. If you consider you get a bed and a VERY long desk area it is well worth the money.

Some of the cross bars have no holes to attach to the bed makes no sense.
Bed is stable but the cross bars aren't connected to the frame of the bed in the middle which makes it freigtening to have a child in.

I ordered this bed for my son and he absolutely loves it. It arrived a week sooner then expected as well. It is a very sturdy bed and I would recommend this bed to any one that ask about it! We did have to email the company about the desk part of the bed because one of the corners had some slight damage. They emailed me back the same day and within 4 days of the email I had a new desk top for the bed! I am extremely happy all the way around!

I found this exact same product for much higher prices elsewhere. I had it shipped to my local store for free and that was the first time I've ever used that shipping option. The pickup process was painless and I even received a text message when my product had arrived. I bought this bed for my 13 year old son to make more room in his room and provide a place to do homework. He's 5' 8" and weighs 130. He loves it and has a little room to grow. The craftsmenship in this is good. All parts and tools were provided with good intructions. All parts were marked well. It took my son and I about 1.5 hours to erect and another 20 minutes to remove all the warning stickers. It does require two poeple to build. The bed is very sturdy with the X brace design. My only complaint is the front guard rail had minor scratchs from shipping. They need to protect this peice better since it's eye level and the first thing you look at.

Hard to put together but overall good

Tihe box the bed comes in is very heavy and the bed itself is difficult to put together, I'm a 130 pound woman who is 5'2" tall and it took me 2 hours to inch the box from the truck to the house, by then I was so exhausted I didnt feel like putting it together, but I did anyway. It is near impossible to put this bed together if you are 1. short and 2. alone. It took me a total of 12 hours to put the bed together by myself and I had to improvise with the use of bungee cords and duct tape to hold parts that normal people would use a 2nd set of hands for (I'm a single mom dont know anybody to help). Eventually I got the bed together. And I am happy with it after that long struggle to get it together. It is wobbly a little, but I will bolt it to a stud and see if that helps.

You should just have this delivered to the store and pay someone to take it to your home. This cost me my whole pay check and I needed a bed. They dumped it on the curb in a high risk neighborhood and made me sign for it. I had to open it up and carry it up the stars one part at a time with vultures waiting to steal the metal for scraps.
Now I have to get ready for work in pain and a 50 yo woman and pretend my life is perfect. This bed and the low class delivery may have just cost me my home and job.
Even if it turns out to be a 10 star bed, its still to expensive.

When it arrived the box was really beat up. After opening the box the desk was damaged on the edges. Some of the metal parts were damaged too. Other than that its not bad.
