I mixed this with water and it is one of the worst tasting protein powders out there. If you want better taste opt for one from a health and nutrition store that actually has more quality products.

My massively active boyz add this to their B-fast & Lunch milk every day - they say yummy! But all three flavors have a grainy / crunchy thing happening. I can't taste due to my lactose issues, but they said, go ahead & buy again b/c of the flavor selection. :)

To be fair I have never used a protein powder before and wanted to start with this since it was a good price. I could not get over the taste though, in fact I didn't take more than 1 swig of the stuff. I spit most of it out and poured the rest down the drain. It was sort of bitter with a very fake chocolate/peanut butter taste and the most horrendous after taste.
I have a friend who recommended Jay Robb whey protein so I think I'll try that instead.

Tastes "ok" in water, it's drinkable at best. I actually mix it in hot oatmeal and is a perfect little meal. Milk would be the best way. For the price compared to the other proteins at GNC and other expensive nutrition stores, you'd be absolutley insane to not at least try this. This is only my first week on it and feel great already. Says it has createne in it which is nice but dosent say how much.

Let's get real. Unless you are trying to achieve a goal, you'd rather be eating meat, potatoes and gravy. I need to lose 15 lbs (or go up a dress size) but I want to lose the weight in a healthy way.
This does not taste as good as gravy ... or a milk shake, but the taste is palatable -- blended with ice and a cup of skim milk. So I plan to stick with it twice a day and eat a balanced meal for dinner.
Very importantly, it keeps me from feeling hungry in between meals. Also note that I think Slim Fast tastes a little bit better than this product. What I don't like about SF is: the fiber in it, makes you bloated and gassy. So that cancels out any of the other benefits, including taste. This protein drink does not mess up your degestive tract. Sometimes I eat a piece of fruit with it.
So considering the nutrition, flavor, cost and ability to stave off hunger, I give it the highest ratings.

I will be having bariatric surgery very soon and needed to find a protein supplement I could live with. I read the reviews on this product, several from post bariatric surgery patients, so I thought I'd give it a try. I mixed it with my coffee this morning and WOW. It tastes so good, no after taste or gritty feeling in my mouth. Tastes like a hot chocolate with a touch of peanut butter. I now know I will have NO trouble getting my needed protein.

I've tried the 3 flavors: peanut butter, chocholet and Strawberry. Peanut Butter was my least favorite..just taste "funky". I'd recommend that one sticks with chocholet.

@ the first taste, I was hooked on this flavor. The other body fortress flavors don't even compare. My only disappointment is the 5 pk bundle option for about $70. I would buy the pk again if if i had the option to pick my flavors (chocolate peanut butter,) and avoid that cookies n creme entirely; that thing tastes like steamed fish to me. In order of preference, I would go with PB, then chocolate, then strawberry, then vanilla.
