Purchased this over a year ago stored it until needed to use it on first trip. Began packing bottom layer with shoes and heard cracking. The plastic backing was cracking as if rotted, (I did not know plastic could rot).. That was whole backbone of bag, so could not use. COULD NOT EVEN USE ON FIRST TRIP!!!!!!! Poor Quality as did not even last first packing. Would not recommend this to an enemy. CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP!!!! I am giving it 1 star since ZERO Stars is not an option

I anticipated its arrival only to realize that it was too large for what I wanted to use it for; however, I wandered through the store while there only to find the SAME ITEM which was 25" instead of 30".
I then instantly exchanged the original purchase for the shorted item. The duffel bag itself is solid and excellent for heavy duty usage. The wheel system is smooth and durable. I would recommend it for anyone who is looking for a DUFFEL BAG ON WHEELS!!!!!

Would give this protege duffel 5 stars if it didn't keel over when it stands upright. I packed this duffel beyond max coming back from cali after outlet shopping and worried it would fall apart/ i'd be embarrassed but this duffel is a trooper. Will be using it on an upcoming trip.

I like the design of this duffle bag. Compact since it can be collapsed into a thin piece, yet quite spacious. It can carry stuff up to 40 lbs and the rolling wheels make it easier to carry around. So far it's survived an international flight half way around the globe. Bought this for $30. Money well spent.

I purchased it while on vacation in Maui to carry some new gear home. I checked it at the airport and when I landed I found that several large holes had worn through on one end. The bag easily ripped wide open. So much for the locking zipper. It did get my gear home, barely.

I do a lot of national and international travel and this is first time I have tried this type duffel bag and found it an excellent duffel. Has more room than I expected and the bottom compartment is great for shoes, boots, etc. inside which you can always put small items for added storage. The material is lightweight yet strong so you can carry more weight. Contrary to other reviews, I found the zippers well-made and as long as you don't try pulling them closed like a gorilla would they should last a long time. I suggest for added security to make two 1" straps with snap type buckles and wrap one laterally that will hold the handle secure and the other across. You can buy these items at your local hardware store. The lateral strap will keep the handle closed because it is not a locking type and baggage handlers are bound to break it.

I bought this bag for my husband because he travels for work...I had it embroided for him. For the price it is a great bag! I wish that it did stand up but that is not a big deal. I love that he has a place at the bottem for his shoes. The bag holds a lot. I love all the different compartments! It is very durable and not cheap at all! More of a travel bag then a bag for the gym though.

I knew what I was getting, there are some features lacking, but for the price you can't beat the quanity it holds. I just wish it could stand in a upright postion, when you are not pulling it, it must be laid down just as you see in the picture. However, in all fairness, I don't know if it is possible in a bag that costs more.
I would buy it again irregardless.

The bag has a weak axle, which means that when you roll it, the bottom of the bag hits (rubs) the ground and gets damaged. We have used the bag just 4 times (4 flights), and it is torn already. Good price, but you get what you pay for. I would definitely recommend against buying this product.

We bought the red duffel bag some months ago. Liked it so much that we decided to buy the black/grey one. We are "disaster preparedness" volunteers [C.E.R.T.]. We'll now have one bag in the car and one in the truck. Each bag will contain about 60 pounds of emergency food, water and life-saving items.
Should an emergency arise while either my wife or I are away from home, we will have food, water, change of clothes, medicines and just about all we will need for a 72 hour deployment. When properly packed, the duffel bag holds a remarkable amount of food and clothing items!
Bag fits nicely into my wife's Toyota Camry trunk and the other works equally well on my Tacoma truck jump seat.
Thank you Wal-Mart for all that you continue to do in support of disaster workers in the U.S.A. and around the world!

We knew one of our bags was over weight as we had it weighed at our local airport while picking up our rental car.
We stopped at a Walmart on the way to our departure city and purchased the the lightest least expensive rolling piece of luggage we could find.
The Portage X-Large 30" 2 Section Rolling Duffel Bag survived mulitple International Airports and exchnages over a 2 week travle.
It was so light and easy to pull that my 10 year old daughter had no issues at all with the bag.
I was so impress I have bought 2 more so each one of us in the family can have our own.
I hope you enjoy as much as we have!

This is a great bag, especially for the price. Well made, lots of room, and expands where you can really fill it up. You want find a better bag anywhere even if you pay 15 or 20 dollars more. The only complaint I have is it will not stand upright when filled.
