First Alert First Alert Photoelectric AC/DC Smoke and Fire Alarm, SA7010BPCN
Fire is a serious threat to every household and thankfully, smoke alarms like the First Alert Hardwired Photoelectric Smoke Alarm SA7010BPCN help to reduce the risk of death in a household fire by up to 50 percent. The more smoke alarms you have installed in your home, the higher the chance you'll be alerted to a fire in time to escape. The SA7010BPCN smoke alarm also alerts you to smoke and fire with a loud 85-decibel alarm. The First Alert hardwired photoelectric smoke alarm is designed to reduce common "nuisance" alarms. The alarm uses photoelectric sensing technology, which is more effective at detecting smoldering fires. Features include a 120-volt AC with 9-volt battery backup, single button silence and test feature, tamper resistant locking pins, universal mounting bracket, and side load battery drawer. UL listed for safety and comes with a 10-year limited warranty.

Worked well right out of the box.

It is difficult getting it out of the box, but once it is out, it was rather simple to install. I just removed the old wall-mounted smoked detector, selected the new plug and installed the new ring with the old screws and it mounted perfectly. The second installation went really well and I have very little skills as an electrician.

Was so happy to find that the First Alert Photoelectric AC/DC Smoke and Fire Alarm has a back-up battery and a pathway light, great if electricity is off and alarm goes off, especially during the night. This alarm had different adapters with it in case it was not an exact replacement. I was able to simply plug in the "wired in" part of the previous alarm which had been in the home for 13 years.

I like the fact that they supply three different connectors to interface with your existing AC connection. This was easy to install and took only a few minutes to get it mounted and functioning. It was not a bad price for what I got.
