Our spacious, smartly outfitted computer desk puts the "home" in your at-home office. It has a deep work surface and lots of storage space to keep you organized. Its wide center drawer has a flip-down front that doubles as a keyboard tray. The desk looks great and is a good value. Some other reviews talked about the difficulty in assembling. The desk was not difficult. Getting the drawers on the sliders was a bear!! we worked twice as long on that one step than putting to whole desk together. I looks great as a

Before I purchased this desk I read the reviews. There were a few not happy. I decided to give it a try. This company got it right. All the hardware is already installed. The only tools you need to put this togeter is a hammer, screw driver and a wooden block. It does take two people to hold the pieces while the other taps it together. I would recommend this desk. It is wood not particle board so it will last much longer. If you are thinking of purchasing a cheaper desk, remember you get what you pay for. Just an FYI I never right reviews this time the product is actually great so decided I would share.

I am really happy with my purchase. It has plenty of storage space and looks great. I didn't want the desk to look cheap; this did the trick. It was easy to put together. I'm not sure why other people had difficulties. My husband did have to help a couple of times; it was definitely a two person job because some of the pieces are really big and heavy.

We bought this desk two years ago and it was an excellent purchase. I was looking for a desk that we would eventually use for the kids' study area and would house a computer for them, so wasn't looking to spend a bunch, knowing it would probably get dinged/scratched a little. I have been so impressed with this desk while I have been working from home, now I don't know if I want to give it up! We have a laptop, which works great just setting on the top. I love that since this is 60" wide x 24" deep, there is still LOTS of workspace to spread out all my work stuff. At first I didn't know what I would use the right side door for #intended for a CPU tower#, but we have found the shredder fits perfectly in there. I use the top flip-down drawer for supplies, as well as the smaller top left side drawer. The file drawer holds files nicely, and there is plenty of clearance for the tabs on the hanging file folders. What the decription DOESN'T say is that there is also a small little supply drawer within/behind the door section. This little bonus drawer holds a ream a copy paper perfectly! Assembly went smooth, packaging was appropriate, no defects/scratches/etc., drawers slide smoothly. We also purchased the two-drawer file cabinet and 4-shelf bookcase for an office "suite." Seriously, do the kids HAVE to do their homework at a desk??? TBD....

Wasn't what I expected. Looks like a very nice desk but the assembly was difficult. It doesn't come with your traditional hardware set. You have these "latches" that you slide together and that's what holds each piece together. We only got the first two sections done and everything was unlevel. We took it all apart, and tried again. That attempt was also a fail. Needless to say we returned the desk.

I purchased the Chestnut color of this desk and it was shipped Site to Store.
Bottom Line is that you are getting a Non Particle Board 60 inch Desk for under $350.
It took me about 2.5 hours to put together by myself (even the desk top) . . . key is to organize everything before getting started.
I was a little bit worried when putting together the drawers, as they were a little bit flimsy. I actually used a little bit of wood glue in the dovetails to stiffen it up a little, but after they were installed in the desk you did not notice the flimsiness.
Some High Points:
1) finish was great.
2) solid hardware, I.e. knobs, hinges, keyboard tray door release, and there are magnets in the edges of the CPU door to help keep it closed.

There were three other minor issues:
1) one of the interior side panels was bowed (not to bad) which made it more difficult to put that side of the desk together.
2) Bottom panel (floor) for the CPU storage area did not fit, due to the bowed side panel. I sanded the side down about a 1/4 inch to get it to fit.
3) On the side of the desk top, where the veneer and the side meet, was place about 3 inches long where they used some wood putty to fill in the hairline crease. This putty did not take the finish very well. Used the included furniture marker which worked ok.

I truely love this desk! It's beautiful, elegant, and very comfortable! It was very easy to assemble. It's so worth it! I also purchased the Canopy 4 Tier bookshelf and that too is beautiful!

I've had this desk for a little under 3 years now and it has been great! I'm a pharmacy student and use this desk very regularly. The minor dings here and there are very easily hidden by the furniture markers that come with it. My only complaint is that if you use an office chair that doesn't have removable arms (search for "executive chair" and you'll see what I'm talking about), you won't be able to adequately slide underneath the desk in order to write or type on your computer. Overall, I haven't had anything break on me (the drawers still slide very, very smoothly and the doors have no problem staying shut), so I believe this desk was worth every penny that we paid for it. This desk is stylish, functional and durable (very heavy); you definitely won't regret this purchase!

I purchased 2 desk, 2 book shelves, 2 file cabinets and the console table for my office at work. I paid $1,300 for all of it which is the price of one HON desk. I assembled all of it my self with no problems at all. I am sorry some have had shipping damage. I have been using my furniture for 6 months now and it still looks wonderful. I have had to move to another location and it moved just fine. Putting it together was easy, the drawers a little harder than the rest but not bad overall. It is designed in a way it does not take many screws to put together. Anyways, I love it and would purchase again.

This was our 2nd Canopy Collection purchase - we purchased the TV/Console Table about a year ago - both products were very well packaged and arrived undamaged - both were also relatively easy to assemble. We think the TV/Console Table is a better product - the desk does not have the same "high end" final look and the desk drawer material is very low quality (+ the touch up marker pen was completely dried out). Overall we are happy with the purchase but would point out the shortcomings to any friend before recommending (unlike the TV/Console Table which we think is great).

Was satisfied with the desk overall, what I didn't like was the four end pieces were warped inward 3/16". Called Sauder, they couldn't do anything, contacted Wal-Mart, they wanted me to return it and reorder another one. I didn't want to wait for another one (and possibly warped parts again) and it's 100 miles round trip to the closest Wal-Mart. Would have been more satisfied if they would have offered me a discount. Even if Sauder would have offered me a discount on a future purchase. Just not very happy the way either company treated me.

I work from home and needed a sleek desk with drawers to accommodate our living space. My husband and I live in a 675 sq. foot condo so our space is limited. We had a Sauder desk that was basically falling apart. That was my only concern in purchasing this desk - because the brand is Canopy, however, it is made by Sauder. We purchased it anyway and it matches our other furniture perfectly! It was easy to put together - I did it in about 2 hours. My husband only had to help me put the desk top on (they recommend two people do that step). The drawers were a bit finicky but once you got them on the tracks and moved them back and forth a bit, they are fine. There is a slight gap in the back of the desk because the piece that puts the two sides together didn't fit perfectly...but the gap is so small you can barely see it. Plus our desk is against a wall, so it didn't matter anyway. I am EXTREMELY happy with this purchase. The instructions were easy to follow and you only needed a hammer or rubber mallet to put it together. I would definitely recommend to others!

I purchased this desk 3 months ago waiting for renovations before assemblying and dreading a ton of pieces and taking all day. Myself and my son put together in 45 mins, easiest piece of furniture ive ever put together. The quality of the wood and craftmanship is outstanding. I just got the desk today and my husband and I put it together. It does take two...but...that is not a problem. The product instructions were super! No other tools needed except a hammer and the wood block which was included. My husband was totally impressed.
The only thing wrong was the center desk drop down drawer. When I clicked it to drop down the
front of the drawer....one of the hinges was completely pulled out of the pull down front. That was
disturbing....however, my husband is handy so...we got longer screws and made the hole deeper
with a hand drill...and put in the newer screws. Guaranteed...not to come apart. We are very happy with the desk!
