No guessing about the plug,

Just look at the picture so you know what type of round plug it has. These people who post the ads pics. need to take the time to show more of what they are selling.

Nice simple mouse.,
06/03/2010
I like older style PS/2 mice and keyboards because they generally don't have to have special drivers or extra buttons that I will never use anyway. Sadly, they are getting so hard to find these days.
Anyway, this one is a 1000 d.p.i. so the optics on it track VERY well as expected. The button switches feel about average for most mice. I can typically wear out the left button switch within a year on a quality gaming mouse. so I'm curious how long this one will last.
Ergonomically speaking, I'm disappointed with the size of the mouse. I prefer larger mice for my big hand, but if you have smaller hands or tend to guide the mouse with your fingertips rather than full palm this will be fine for you.
I've owned dozens of mice over the years from every price point between $5 to $75. Out-of-the-box this mouse is outperforming all the ones that cost me 3 or 4 times as much. So value-wise, this is a tremendous bargain.
So if you want a simple, small, quality, accurate and inexpensive mouse you should definitely buy this one.
I needed a mouse that had the old green hook-up, this is perfect. I also wanted the wheel, which this one has. I took the advice of another reviewer and bought 2 since it is hard to find a mouse that doesn't use the USB port.

Works great.,

Hard to find a mouse for a round port anymore. The one this replaces one that came from WalMart and lasted 7 years. I bought 2 this time, just in case.

A great PS/2 mouse,

If you need a standard three-button optical wheel mouse, but can't spare a USB port, then look no further. This is the perfect solution and a great value as well!

Be careful of plug,
08/21/2012
The description or picture did not show or describle the plug and I could not use this at all. I had to buy another one elsewhere where the picture showed the right type of plug and it worked fine. This was no use, please give better infor on plug types. I didn't even know there were two different types and as the picture or description did not indicate either, it's not fair to buyer.

Perfect! I have a dual boot (Windows XP / Linux) machine and an older PC running Windows ME, both through a 4 port KVM switch. Unplugged the old mouse; plugged in the new one, booted up... And not even a stutter! Did have to go into the mouse properties to slow down the pointer movement a tad, but that's all.
The item arrived at the store ahead of time. The mouse is quite a bit lighter than the previous ball mouse and the previous optical mouse I had. It feels cheap, but it works just fine.It glides almost as if on air. The scroll wheel does not turn as easily as the others I had, but it works okay as well. I did go into the mouse settings and slow the speed down a little, but that's no problem. Buyers must be aware that it is ps/2, not usb. Ps/2 is exactly what I wanted. I've only had it a few days, but, so far, it is working fine.
