i only buy the xl ink cartridges{extra large} they have lots of ink. i have to do lots of printing and this does the trick.i print pictures and 150 page manuals and it seems these cartridges do the trick for me and save me a lot of money. i always keep another one handy too.i won't waste my time or money on the regular small ones ever again.

No, I do not work for HP! But I have tried refilling ink cartridges and, while this is much cheaper, it is time consuming, messy, and the refilled cartridges only work some of the time. So, I tried buying the refilled ink For Dummies. The 1st one would not work with my printer at all even though it was the correct cartridge (I saved the original package it came in and returned it to my local Walmart store). The 2nd one ran out of ink in about a fourth of the time as Genuine HP cartridges. HP ink cartridges are more expensive, but they are less hassle, work every time, last longer, and in the long run are a better value.
