I love how the desk looks and the length is great, but I wish the top could be a little bit wider. I love the two cabinets and how one door swings open while the other drawer pulls out. The only suggestion I would make during assembly is to not screw in piece F until after you piece A together with it so there's leeway to adjust it.

Okay for a small desk

This desk is okay if you are looking for a very small desk. The quality is okay, but arrived with chips taken out of the finish on several pieces. Also had difficulty with one part of the installation and damaged 2 pieces (broke apart in small sections / particle board). So, much care must be taken while assembling this desk. The color is nice and it looks fine. Would be best to buy a larger desk with more top space and drawer space if you don't mind the extra weight. This desk is not too heavy and not too big if size and weight is an issue.

I bought this piece and the file cabinet. They need to be assembled, which wasn't too bad. But there were some scratches on the surface, and the edges weren't well finished. I had a repair kit (magic markers in different furniture colors) and touched up the edges and scratches and it looks great. Together they provide the storage and work space that I need at a very low price.

I have always like Sauder furniture, and was not disappointed with this. It has all the room I need and is well built. It was very easy to put together. The instructions were very easy to understand. I was not sure when I order it what the color would be like, it is a very dark, almost black in color. This works fine with me as I have some black furniture in the room already. I had to order this from Walmart and used the ship to store, which saved me the shipping. It arrived with in 4 days and going to the store for pickup was very easy.

Heavy in the box. Need two people to carry it. All the pieces were there. Easy instructions except for some pieces not mark by letters. It took about 2.5 hours after checking in all the pieces. Very sturdy desk. Very happy with my purchase. Took less time to receive it then was told at purchase.

I bought this desk because I was looking for something with a smaller length that still had a filing drawer integrated into it, not a terrible amount of options to choose from (I was aiming for something less than 44"L).
Similar desks from IKEA seemed far more simplistic and cost three times as much. This desk is also particle board with a veneer but while assembling it I was pretty confident that this was of a slightly higher caliber than your typical IKEA desk. All the parts were in the box and nothing was damaged, the assembly process was a little involved but the directions were straight forward. It took me a little less than 2 hours to assemble, you need just a hammer and two screwdrivers to do it.
I've only had it a few days, my only concern is that the flip out portion of the keyboard shelf feels like it has a little give to it as it is supported by a sprung hinge. This desk looks far better than the busted old desk that preceded it in my computer room.

This desk works if it's just for a small computer screen but I have a 21.5" imac. I also am comfortable seeing the screen atleast 3 feet from my face and with the depth of this desk (distance from back of desk to you) being only 18", it is not a very comfortable distance for me to view my computer. I had to push my screen back halfway off the desk. There is barely enough room for a 3 ring binder to sit in front of the computer and that's all the room you have. You're not gonna be able to spread out documents if you're working on something along with the computer. I knew that was the depth when I purchased it, but I didn't think it would make such a horrible difference. For those who can't see so close, don't get this desk.
I wish the top left shelf was actually a slide out drawer rather than just a shelf where you had to reach in to get things. Cuz then I can't get things in the back without having to take everything out from the front first. And the reason I'm keeping this desk, although I should have returned it? I'm female, and it's too heavy to put back in the packaging and take back to return.
On top of that, the instructions were pretty simple; I've put together many desks before. But this particular company even states that some of their pieces do not have alphabetical labels to identify them. So it took longer than usual to put the desk together.

Once together it is a fine looking piece of furniture. Getting it together is a problem - all pieces not easily (if at all) identified. Mating of some pieces very awkward to do, needs two people at times, not because I'm hopeless at such a thing. When finished it is an attractive unit, drawers work well once slides are properly placed. Pictures of installing parts leave much to be desired.

Desk came with a cracked surface, but Sauder quickly replaced it and sent the replacement to our house.

This looks good and overall functions well. As with many Sauder products there are hundreds of parts and not really good descriptions of many of them and not all are marked. However with patience and by laying out the parts beforehand, following the instructions diligently you can with moderate effort put this together in a little over an hour. Helps to have two people, one to read and provide parts and one to install. The adjustment for the drawer did not work as stated, but the drawer was not too difficult to adjust by leaving that piece out. All in all this is a nice desk. The least attractive thing is the keyboard tray. It is behind the flip up drawer face and when you pull it out and flip it down the hinges are not flush and they leave my ergonomic key board a little wobbly.
The directions reference the videos. They are way too vague to be useful. And marking the parts better would be a great help.
