I was pretty impressed when I pulled it out of the box and charged it up. However, after adding 3 pounds of air to my tire it died like it needed to be be recharged. But, it will not recharge, it's basically a very expensive door stop and I've been calling the 800 # provided for days and just get a busy signal. I tried emailing and was told I have to call customer service at the 800# I've been calling (in spite of telling them in the email that I've had no luck on the phone for days) Maybe I'm just a one off with regard to how this performs but the lack of customer service means I won't be buying another product from them.

had our Stanley for 2 weeks now used it one time & filled 7 car tires on only one charge....plan on keeping this in our car for trips & all around town.....hope the jump starter works as well as the air compressor.....

...have a 1985 Toyota Celica, which needs a little bit of TLC, and one of the issues is an electrical problem that causes the lights to come on at times whenever the car is bumped (ie. closing of the door/trunk/hood/etc. too hard), which also then drains the battery if gone unnoticed. Needless to say, I have gone to my car on a few occasions where the battery would be totally dead and I would need a jump. After having to experience this a few times where they were no one around to assist or were willing to help out, I then began to look online for a jumpstarter that would be dependable in a crunch... not even a week after receiving it, I needed to use it, and it worked like a charm with no issues. This was only but a month ago and the not only was the batter jumped from being totally dead (the dome light, etc. would not even come on), it was also single digit temperatures (winter in S. Jersey/Philly area). Since then I will not go anywhere without it, and feel 100 plus confident in its use. The only thing I would suggest is to familiarize yourself with the instructions beforehand, so that you do not waste precious time in the moment on actual use. I am very content with my purchase, and believe it was a great buy.

The device is heavy as it contains a battery (which must be charged overnight before use). Once charged, it has plenty of power to jump-start a dead battery. Others have told me the unit can hold its charge up to 1 year. The work light is a great extra & the unit is easily portable. The negatives are no case to hold the parts together & protect switches, a short compressor hose &, worse of all, a plastic inflator head which broke after 2 uses. I called Stanley, who stated they don't offer a metal head (like cheaper versions) & replacing the broken head would void the warranty.

After researching online opinions and reviewing battery jumper item users opinions...and checking with local road service companies, I found that the Stanley 500 AMP Jump Starter With Compressor is one of the best on the market. Then checking online prices with MANY companies, I found Walmart offers this for less price. The competitors wanted from $99.99 to $225.00 and I paid Walmart $87.37 including shipping! There was no better deal for a brand-new Stanley 500 AMP Jump Starter With Compressor! Thank you, Walmart!!!

The air pump works. The light works. Everything else remains to be determined! I have several Stanley products and I feel that this is a well made sturdy piece of equipment. It is rather heavy but I don't mind if it does the job. I did realize the air pressure gauge seems to do its own thing. For the meat and core of the product though, I have thankfully and luckily not needed the charger portion yet. But I feel confident that since I bought it from wal mart, if any problems I will definitely take back!

How could I have ever gotten along without this, it is a blessing. I had to use it twice and I'm so glad I had this machine. If it had not been for this machine, I would have had to wait maybe days before getting someone to jump start my van. It is so easy to use and it is a must for everybody who owns a vehicle.I can not tell you how happy I am with this purchase. I had read previous reviews and most of them complained about how their machine arrived, mines was packed secured, and it arrived to me in good condition, thanks Walmart for carrying such a great product, if it had only lasted through one jump start, it would have been well worth the money.This is a must for anybody,I'm planning on getting one for my daughter who lives alone, then I will have a peace of mind when she travels. Get this you wont be sorry, thanks again Walmart.

i havent had this unit but for about 2 weeks but i have tested it with a fan, charging cell phone, and runing a heating blanket. all a success. i plan to try it to use the electric started on our generator and as a mobile compressor for all of our childrens air filled items.
