Innova Equus 3100 Innova CanOBD2 Diagnostic Tool
The Equus 3100 Innova CanOBD2 Diagnostic Tool reveals the source of "Check Engine" light warnings quickly. This user-friendly car diagnostic tool can be easily connected to your car or truck. It works well with domestic or foreign 1996 and newer car, SUV or light truck. This engine diagnostic tool can perform many tasks including extracting a list of diagnostic trouble codes as well as code definitions from your car's computer. The Equus 3100 Innova diagnostic code reader can help in determining the cause of engine light warnings. It refreshes the information every 30 seconds to ensure that you get the latest information for easy car repairing. The battery backup memory also provides off-car reviews and analysis. Using this tool, you can also access the Repair Solutions section in Innova's official website to get information on code definitions. You can also get a diagnostic report and possible causes of engine problem as well as probable ways to fix the problem in this section.

I had been having problems with rough idle and misfiring which resulted in check engine light. I bought the device to help determine from where the problem was originating. I was able to get the codes as well as to reset the check engine light after maintenance was done. The freeze frame data was also helpful.

Check Engine lights come on for the least little problems. My 99 Chevy Blazer misfires once a month and my 2005 Jeep Liberty comes on if the gas cap is loose. Now I can check if the problem is serious and reset if it is just a nuisance.

My 350Z started running rough and rich. I decided to buy this tool to fix it myself. This device said I had a bad Mass Air Flow Sensor and estimated a repair bill of $580. I bough the sensor for $170 plus this tool for $100 saving $310.

as soon as i got it (fast shipping thanks walmart) tried it out on 2 vehicles that I own and it gave the codes and the tech. problems so i google the codes and found the problems. so yes it works great. buy it put it in your tool box well worth it.

The reason for buying this product was to reset MIL (check engine light) error code and to make sure my vehicle was ready to pass emissions. After struggling with a P0420 error code for almost a week, I decided to buy this product. I could not afford the $1000 + dollars to replace my vehicle catalytic converter, so I resorted to resetting code and beating the On Board Computer at its game. The 3100 not only saved me money, but also time. It was so easy to reset the code (just the push of a button; no more removing the battery terminal), and to test the emissions-readiness of the vehicle. After a couple of resets, and constantly checking the emissions, I was able to get the green light on the 3100 before the code came back. This enabled me to pass the emissions.

The Equus 3100 did all that it said it would. After purchasing and using it I figured out I needed a PCV valve and minor tune up. After all is said and done I wish I would have bought the model that was half the price. Would have worked just as well.

Nice tool to have, does do the basic job of identifying trouble in your car. Also can give you a print of it as well. Also has freeze frame which is the info locked in your autos data base which is nice as well. It does test all components in the vehicle. Down side is if you want detailed information you have to sign up with Innova for 30 days, then you can have unlimited for that time frame. It gives you a detailed report. Overall its nice to have, and the basic identification of your problem is free, the detailed report will cost, but you can access all you want for 30 days, even on different vehicles.

My Wife and I purchased this unit because it would actually tell you the info required on the screen. There were reviews on here that said this unit was not back lit. It is backlit there is an option in the tools menu that allows you to turn it on and off. maybe the older firmware told it to start off. I have used this and already saved myself at least 200 dollars and it took about 15 minutes to remove the old part clean the spot it went and put it back together.. super good price for this unit. I used a free site to get the info to repair it as Innova charge money for repair instructions.
